The interior is Peranakan themed and is a new Marriott Bomboy Group hotel that just opened in December 2024.
This was my first time staying there.
The lobby is bright, spacious, and upscale, but with lovely Peranakan patterns in every detail. This hotel is packed with "little pleasures".
The executive lounge is open 24 hours. Delicious baked goods. Even the teacups, pots, and amenities in the rooms are cute, the drinks and snacks in the minibar are complimentary, there are five different pillow menus, the infinity pool and bar are nice and open, the gym is open 24 hours, and the breakfast menu is full of Penang specialties. The staff was very friendly and courteous.
The hotel arranged a car for me from the airport to the hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the seats were equipped with massage chairs.
Have a wonderful experience! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

A fusion restaurant of Nanyang Kopitiam and Japanese cuisine.
Maya, the Lady boss, and Chef Ong, a gold medalist in the World Japanese Culinary Competition, are full of passion. “ We want our customers to have a wonderful and memorable experience," she said enthusiastically. Although it has only been open for about two months, most of the customers keep coming back to the restaurant at least three times. Word of mouth has brought in more and more customers, and the restaurant has become very popular.
To be honest, when I first looked at the menu, I had no idea that the addition of the Nanyang and Japanese would be so well matched and tasty. I was surprised to find that the combination, which seems to be too much as Japanese people, was so harmonious and delicious when i tasted! The omelet rice curry with sambal prawns, The sea bream porridge with miso, and The Unagi Nasi lemak were all high quality, delicious, and new experiences. The original blend of coffee is also excellent.

女主人Mayaさんと、世界の日本料理コンペティションで金賞受賞のOngシェフによる、パッションが詰まったお店。「お客様に、心に残る素晴らしい経験をしてほしい。」と熱く語ってくれました。オープンしてまだ2ヶ月余りですが、ほとんどのお客が3回はリピートして訪れてきているとのこと。口コミで客が客を呼び大人気。
正直、最初にメニューを見た時には、南洋と和を合わせた足し算の料理が、これほどマッチして美味しくなるとは思いませんでした。1番人気メニューが、お刺身の載ったアッサムラクサと聞いて、本当なのか疑いました。日本人的にはトゥーマッチに思われる組み合わせが、実際料理が運ばれてきていただくと、とても調和して美味しくて驚き！サンバルプラウンの入ったオムライスカレー、味噌入りの鯛雑炊、うなぎのナシレマ、どれもクオリティが高く、おいしく、新しい体験でした。オリジナルブレンドのコーヒーも絶品。

We came to Medan (Indonesia's fourth largest city) in North Sumatra, Indonesia for Chinese New Year vacation.
Kuala Lumpur is only 70 minutes away by plane. From the airport to Medan is an hour by Grab.
The first place We visited was Tjong A Fie Mansion, a tourist attraction in Medan's Old Town.
Built in 1895, former residence of a prominent overseas Chinese family with 8000 sq meter.
He contributed to the development of Medan's economy and local charities, and was a friend of the King of Deri Kingdom and Sun Yat-sen, and his descendants manage this building. This is also the first house in Medan to be electrified.
The house is in the Pranakan style, reminiscent of Penang and Malacca. It is spacious, beautiful and well maintained.

チャイニーズニューイヤー休暇に、インドネシアの北スマトラにあるメダン(インドネシア4番目に大きな街)に来ました。
クアラルンプールは飛行機でたったの70分。空港からメダンまではGrabで1時間。
最初に行ったのは、メダンのオールドタウンにある観光名所「Tjong A Fie Mansion」。
1895 年に建てられた、8000 平米の華僑の名士の元邸宅。
メダンの経済の発展と地域の慈善活動などに貢献し、デリ王国の王様や孫文とも親交があった方だそうで、子孫がこの建物を管理しています。またここは、メダンで初めて電気を引いた住宅とのこと。
ペナンやマラッカを思い出す、プラナカン様式のお屋敷。広くて美しく、よく手入れされていました。

AC Hotel is located 15 minutes from Penang Airport. It is a 4-star hotel where many pilots and cabin attendants stay.
I stayed there for 5 nights this time and it was really comfortable.
The interior of the hotel is almost the same as AC Hotel KL. Simple and relaxing space. The gym is open 24 hours. The simple Spanish bar is small, but not only does it serve delicious tapas and pizzas, it also delivers them to your room. (All AC hotels in Malaysia offer the same menu.)
There is also a free laundry service for long-stay guests, and a 7-Eleven and coin-operated laundry just a minute's walk away.
It takes 30-40 minutes to drive to George Town, but Grab costs about RM20 each way, and there is no congestion in the area, so I was able to get a car without waiting every time.
The service was not spectacular but affordable and precise and very comfortable.
Marriott Bon Voy status members can also choose a meal voucher of 10US (RM43) per day as one of the benefits.

今回5泊しましたが、本当に快適でした。
ホテルのインテリアなどはACホテルKLとほぼ同じです。シンプルで落ち着く空間。ジムは24時間オープン。入り口すぐの場所にあるシンプルなスパニッシュバーは小さいですが、おいしいタパスやピザを気軽にいただけるだけでなく、部屋までデリバリーもしてくれます。(マレーシアのACホテル全てが同じメニューを
提供しています。) 長期滞在客には無料のランドリーサービスもあり、徒歩1分の場所にセブンイレブンやコインランドリーもあり。
ジョージタウンまでは車で30-40分かかりますが、Grabは片道RM20程度で、この付近は混雑もなく、毎回待つことなく車に乗れました。
華美なサービスはありませんが手の届くサービスが的確に行われ、とても快適に過ごせました。マリオットボンヴォイのステイタスメンバーは、1日あたり10US(RM43)のミールバウチャーも特典の一つとして選べます。

ホテルのインテリアなどはACホテルKLとほぼ同じです。シンプルで落ち着く空間。ジムは24時間オープン。入り口すぐの場所にあるシンプルなスパニッシュバーは小さいですが、おいしいタパスやピザを気軽にいただけるだけでなく、部屋までデリバリーもしてくれます。(マレーシアのACホテル全てが同じメニューを提供しています。) 長期滞在客には無料のランドリーサービスもあり、徒歩1分の場所にセブンイレブンやコインランドリーもあり。
ジョージタウンまでは車で30-40分かかりますが、Grabは片道RM20程度で、この付近は混雑もなく、毎回待つことなく車に乗れました。
華美なサービスはありませんが手の届くサービスが的確に行われ、とても快適に過ごせました。マリオットボンヴォイのステイタスメンバーは、1日あたり10US(RM43)のミールバウチャーも特典の一つとして選べます。

Shinwa Ramen" is known by all Japanese living in Penang. The restaurant is located in a complex of yakiniku restaurants, omakase restaurants, cafes, and hotels operated by a group company.
The signature dish is the "Omi Beef A5 Wagyu Shoyu Ramen," which is loaded with Omi Beef, the premium A5 Wagyu beef that Shiga Prefecture is proud of. It has a deep yet light, clear soy sauce broth with the refined sweetness of Omi Beef. It is surprisingly affordable at only RM28.
“Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen" also has a broth that is not too heavy and is filled with plenty of thinly sliced meat. The "Beef Syabuyaki Don" is everyone's favorite taste. The rice was also delicious.
This is a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious food in a casual atmosphere and must repeat the experience. The hospitality of the staff was also good.

The Eastern & Oriental Hotel is a coveted hotel in Penang, 140 years old this year since its establishment.I have been to Penang several times before, but this was my first visit to this hotel.The bar was so nice that I visited again for afternoon tea and was shown the hotel rooms.
The hotel is conveniently located in Georgetown, a classic hotel with a colonial style and a stately feel, but it also stands by the sea and has a resort feel with a sea view.This is a one-of-a-kind hotel and has a unique presence among hotels in Penang.All rooms are suites, and each room is decorated according to a theme.
Of the several rooms we were shown, the "Writer Suite - Rudyard Kipling" was a sigh-inducingly beautiful alternate universe filled with antique books and photographs.
Afternoon tea in the "Palm Court" lounge was served in the traditional English style, with 14 kinds of sweets, savories, and scones on a three-tiered tray. The jam for the scones is homemade, and there is a choice of 14 varieties of Harney & Sons tea. I especially liked the crab sandwich, truffle-scented egg sandwich, and vanilla eclair. It's a quality, relaxing place to spend some quality time.

Founded in 1885, the Eastern and Oriental Hotel has a 140-year tradition.The Sarkies brothers, founders of this iconic hotel in the World Heritage Site of George Town, are also the founders of the Raffles Hotel in Singapore.
Housed in a beautiful white colonial-style building, FARQUHAR'S BAR is decorated in oak and brass with antique furnishings, and combines a classic bar counter with a refreshing sea view from the windows.
The signature gin-based, longan-scented "Gin Setengah" cocktail is available only here, and was a favorite of the establishment's founder 140 years ago, making it a romantic menu item.
The restaurant opens at 12:00 noon, making it ideal for lunch as well as dinner. Duck pasitees, large chicken satay, and melted Gruyère cheese sandwiches. All were sophisticated and very tasty.

昼12時からオープンしているので、夜だけでなくランチタイムにも最適。鴨のパイティー、大きなチキンサテー、とろけるグリュイエールチーズのサンドウィッチ。どれも洗練されていてとても美味しかったです。
