Lok Kawi Wildlife Park @ Lok Kawi, Kota Kinabaru, Sabah Borneo

It looks like a zoo, but it is not a zoo, it is an wild animal sanctuary. It is a 30-minute drive from Kota Kinabalu city.
They also raise creatures that have been taken in via the police from owners who have been illegally keeping wild animals, and Borneo species that have been donated by their owners.
It is large enough to see the whole place in about two hours, but there is a lot to see, including rare proboscis monkeys, orangutans and Bornean elephants.
We were able to watch them being fed and there were animal shows, so we were able to fully enjoy the experience.
Above all, the staff seem happy and the animals are lively.
