Yoyogiuehara Yuu 代々木上原ゆう @ Yoyogiuehara, Tokyo
1 minute walk from Yoyogi Uehara Station, this is a creative kappo restaurant by Chef Yusuke. You can enjoy seasonal omakase Japanese cuisine. A good restaurant for those in the know.
A gourmet friend of mine was curious about this restaurant, so we went there.
We ordered the omakase course, which was prepared with a variety of Japanese vegetables and seafood, and enjoyed 12 different dishes, plus Crab cream croquettes, Fresh Uni and corn puree.
The most delicious dish was the chawanmushi with Shiroebi (white shrimp.) The rich broth of the chawanmushi, the shiso leaf starchy sauce, and the texture of the bitter gourd and okra were wonderful. The crab cream croquette served with crab miso was also excellent.
The restaurant is small, with only 16 seats at the counter and tables, so be sure to make reservations early.
