Oribe is located about 8 minutes walk from the Pavilion in Bukit Bintang.
I have been wanting to visit there for a long time, and this was the first time I had an omakase course for lunch here.
Master Chef Nao is the only one chef in Malaysia appointed by Japanese government as a "Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassador".
After experiencing the course, I was convinced why that is.
He explains the food and sushi in a visual and easy-to-understand manner, using photos of the ingredients and a map of Japan. The manner in which he entertains the customers is not just a performance, but a true “Nao theatre”, where you can feel the spirit of craftsmanship and attention to detail. I would highly recommend this restaurant to Malaysians who want to learn more about Japanese food and truly enjoy omakase.
Needless to say, the food is truly delicious.
The authentic Japanese taste is basic, and on top of that, he knows what the local customers like, so you can see why this restaurant has an ever-growing fan base.
