No Pork, No Lard
Last week I visited the Chinese restaurant “ Ti Chen” at the Saujana Hotel for the first time and enjoyed it so much. So this time, I came to the Sunday lunch buffet at the Japanese restaurant “ Kogetsu” here.
Now is New Year and we wanted to eat delicious Japanese food.
The building is in the style of an old private house overlooking the lake. It has a nice atmosphere. I was surprised at the quality of the sashimi and sushi. It was amazing to be able to eat all-you-can-eat sushi and sashimi of Chu Toro ( medium fatty tuna) and Shima Aji (striped horse mackerel). I talked to Mr. Minami, the Japanese chef, who has been working at this restaurant for 20 years! The teppan-yaki beef is also of high quality.
Appetizers, sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki, and dessert are taken from the buffet counter, but grilled, fried, and other dishes are made-to-order buffet, so they are served hot and fresh cooked. The Tai (sea bream) in soup soothed my New Year's spirit. The quality of the ingredients and the price are excellent value for this authentic Japanese cuisine. Hospitality good. I will come here regularly.
