TATSU Japanese Cuisine @ InterContinental Kuala Lumpur
No Pork, No Lard
Welcome to Malaysia! TATSU Japanese Restaurant at InterContinental Hotel KL welcomes its new Japanese Executive Chef, Mr. Hiroshi Masuda.
He has spent 26 years of his life as a Japanese chef overseas! He has worked in eight countries, including Germany, Dubai, Thailand, and China.
He has a solid knowledge of kaiseki cuisine and knows what foreign customers like, so much so that hotel owners have asked him directly to join them.
The legendary chef was the first to use tuna in a Japanese restaurant in Dubai and popularized chirashi sushi.
In Malaysia, his signature dish is undoubtedly the exquisite chirashi-zushi incorporating pomelo juice and pulp.
I had the early summer kaiseki (Natsu Kaiseki) omakase course, which can be enjoyed from June to August. The chef's delicate sense of beauty is evident in the ayu fish somen, which is boned and grilled to a crispy, savory perfection. Sashimi from the Toyosu market is fresh. The hot dish is a Malaysian favorite, beef ribs, braised for 8 hours, which is a dynamic and brilliant change in the impression of the course. At RM348 nett, you will be full with a sense of the season. Perfect for business meeting dinners and other occasions.
