Ocean Green Restaurant @ George Town, Penang
No Pork, No Lard
An open-air seafood Chinese restaurant with the beach in front of you, where you can feel the ocean breeze.
With a history of 42 years, it seems to be famous and popular locally and was crowded with many customers.
The signature dish is the Cheese Baked Crab. It is a crab shell stuffed with a generous amount of flower crab meat, mushrooms, and cream sauce, and baked. A crab shell gratin, so to speak. The rest of the menu is standard Chinese, so this one is very special.
The food is delicious and the hospitality is very nice.

目の前がビーチの、海風を感じることができるオープンエアのシーフード中華レストラン。
42年の歴史があり、現地では有名で人気らしく、多くのお客で賑わっていました。
シグネイチャーはチーズベイクドクラブ。フラワークラブのほぐし身がたっぷり、マッシュルームやクリームソースと共に蟹の甲羅に詰めて焼かれています。いわばカニ甲羅グラタン。他のメニューがオーソドックスな中華なので、これだけ特別感があります。
おいしいしホスピタリティもいい感じ。
日本人ビジネスマンも何組も見かけました。(出張者と思われる方々が多い。)

A 35-minute drive from George Town, cross the Penang Second Bridge and you will see IKEA and its building.
Klippa Shopping Centre is a lifestyle shopping mall, opening in 2019, with 40 tenants.
Klippa is a Swedish word derived from stone and friend. More than just a retail store, it embodies the spirit of Welcome Friend and reflects the brand's vision of building meaningful connections.
The brand is evolving to become the hub of the city, making every visit a fun and exciting experience, with Penang's first Decathlon (a sports store from France) scheduled to open in late 2024.
My impression from doing the Klippa trail was that the building itself is moderately sized and it doesn't take long to see the whole place, but the tenants IKEA, Harvey Norman, and Mr. DIY are quite huge and offer a fulfilling shopping experience. With an indoor playground for small children, rock climbing, and a supermarket with a full line of merchandise, families, friends, and lovers can come here to spend time together in a relaxed and purposeful manner.
We had lunch at the China Muslim restaurant, which was well seasoned and very tasty.

ジョージタウンから車で35分、Penang Second Bridge を渡ると、IKEAが見えてきて、その建物。
Klippa Shopping Centreは、2019年にオープンし、40店のテナントが入る、ライフスタイルショッピングモールです。
Klippaとはスウェーデン語で石、友達、に由来する言葉。単なる小売店ではなく、「ウェルカム・フレンド」の精神を体現し、有意義なつながりを築くというブランドのビジョンを反映しています。
訪れるたびに楽しくエキサイティングな経験をできる場所を目指し、さらにこの街のハブとなるべく進化中。2024年後半には、ペナン初となるデカトロン(フランス発スポーツショップ)がオープン予定。
Klippaトレイルをして感じたことは、建物自体はほどよい広さで、全体を見るのにそう時間はかかりませんが、テナントのIKEAやHarvey Norman、Mr.DIYはかなり巨大で、充実したショッピング体験ができると思いました。小さな子供が遊ぶ室内プレイグラウンドや、ロッククライミング、商品が充実したスーパーマーケットもあることから、家族や友人同士、恋人同士など、ここに来てゆったりと目的に合わせた過ごし方ができます。
チャイナムスリムレストランでランチをしましたが、味付けがよく、とても美味しかったです。

Michelin 1 star (2023) restaurant.
It’s Nyonya restaurant since 2013. boss’s mother “ Auntie Gaik Lean” is 4th generation Nyonya who picked up her Nyonya cooking skills at the age of 12 years old.
This time I had the opportunity to dine here for the first time in about 4 months.
The restaurant used to have a retro-classic interior, but it has been remodeled and now has a beautiful blue-colored atmosphere. They also used the set used in the movie "Crazy Rich Asians" for the interior.
The food was still very delicately and carefully prepared and delicious.
Especially popular among Malaysians were the otah otah and shrimp dishes, eggplant and herb rice.

ミシュラン1つ星（2023年）のレストランです。
ボスのお母さん「Auntie Gaik Lean」はニョニャの4世で、12歳の時にニョニャ料理の技術を習得したそうです。
今回、約4ヶ月ぶりにここで食事する機会に恵まれました。
以前はレトロクラシックな内装でしたが、改装され、ブルーを主体とした美しい雰囲気になっていました。映画「クレイジーリッチアジアンズ」に使われたセットも内装に使用しているそう。
食事は相変わらずとても繊細に丁寧に作られていて美味しかったです。
マレーシアの方に特に評判が良かったのは、オタオタとエビ料理、茄子やハーブライスでした。

So nice !! Ice Kacang, Cendol and Fruit Juice Shop since 1923.
This shop has been in business for 100 years. Originally a food stall, it is now located in an open-air shopping space called New World Park.
The Ice kachang comes with a variety of fruit toppings, and I had the dragon fruit, which went very well with the ice kachang. It was delicious! This is priced at RM7 and a small fruit juice at RM3.5, which is a great value. It is spacious and comfortable with plenty of seating. If you go to the back of the building, there is a huge hawker center and a number of stores, a very nice place to stop for a meal or just to stroll around.

100年営業するこのお店。元は屋台からはじまり、現在は、ニューワールドパークというオープンエアショッピングスペースにあります。
アイスカチャンは、さまざまなフルーツトッピングの種類があり、ドラゴンフルーツをいただきましたがすごく合う。おいしいです！これでRM7、フルーツジュースの小サイズはRM3.5というお値打ちな価格。広くて席数もたくさんあり快適。奥の方に行くと、巨大なホーカーセンターやいくつものお店があり、食事の立ち寄ったり散歩するのにすごく良い場所です。
