Today is an annual festive day for the 170+ Renaissance Hotel Group. I attended the event “ Let's all connect while exploring Johor's cultural heritage.” called “ celebration with Discover Johor’s Cultural Heritage”.
Many influencers and media from Malaysia and Singapore were invited and enjoyed 1day trip.
Morning started with Delicious breakfast.
Laksa Johor, Roti canal hand roll, Croissant Own way…Good start of the day !

It’s traditional Malay house.
Introduction Johor’s heritage food, game, and costumes.
Good to have new knowledge!
10:15 Galeri Tenun Johor
It’s 3rd time to come this beautiful weaving museum.
We learn weaving process. We can order original textiles here !!
11:00 Galeri Seni Johor
Art museum by local artists.
Now the exhibitions is Arabic and Malay traditional letter’s drawing.
I cannot read. But Malay friend can read Arabic and translated to me.

11:45 Rumah Zapin
Watching & Learning Johor Traditional Dance “ Zapin”.

The evening cocktails will round out today's event. I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful live music, mocktails with fresh coconut juice in the cocktails, fusion crepes and nasi lemak sushi.
And the special chocolate tower for this event was amazing! It's like a chocolate coral filled with so many sweets and appetizers. Amazing work! It tasted great too.
The Renaissance Hotel will be renovating this space in the future. I hope they will have a nice bar lounge.
It was a great day to explore and get to know the culture of Johor.

今日は、170以上のルネッサンスホテルグループにとっての年に一度のお祭りのような日。「みんなでジョホールの文化遺産を探求しながら繋がって行こう」というイベントがあり、シンガポールやマレーシア各地から多くのメディアが招待されて参加しました。前日から宿泊し、朝からイベント「Global Day of Discovery」スタート。
朝8時にお揃いのTシャツを来て集合。GM:Kanit 氏の挨拶に始まり、朝食は作りたてのラクサジョホール、ロティのハンドロール、お好みクロワッサン、コーヒーとテタリ。とてもおいしい。
メディアの皆さんとバスに乗って遠足開始。

まずはジョホールの伝統的な家へ。
ジョホールの伝統的な料理やゲーム、コスチュームなどを説明していただく。初めて知ることもあり、楽しい。
10:15 Galeri Tenun Johor
織物美術館へ。
ここに来るのは3回目。
伝統織物を学べて、美しい布を見ることができる。
オリジナルの布をオーダーすることもできる。2mでRM2000(約6万円)から。
男性がシルクを着るのはハラムでいけないんだそうですよ。知らなかった。
11:00 Galeri Seni Johor
ローカルアーティストの作品を展示する美術館へ。
現在行われているのは、(5月末まで)、アラビア文字とマレーシアの昔も文字を使用したアートの展示会。
私はさっぱり読めないけど、ジョホールのマレー人はアラビックの教育を受けているから読めて意味も分かるそうで、訳してくれた。ポエムとか心に留めておきたい言葉とか。
ワークショップはナプキンの色染め。綺麗。

ジョホールの伝統舞踊Zapin を観て、踊って学ぶ。
楽しい！暑い！けど楽しい！

今日のイベントを締めくくるのはイブニングカクテル。生演奏で素敵な音楽、カクテルにフレッシュココナツジュースを使用したモクテル、ヒュージョンクレープやナシレマ寿司など、とても美味しくて驚きました。
そしてこのイベントのためのスペシャルチョコレートタワーがすごい！チョコレートのサンゴのようなものに、たくさんのお菓子やアペタイザーが詰まってる。すごい作品！味も美味しかった。
今後ルネッサンスホテルではこのスペースを改装するそう。素敵なバーラウンジができることを願っています。
ジョホールの文化を探求して知ることができる、素晴らしい1日でした。

Noodle Speciality shop at Mount Austin since 2020.
The special thing is that you can choose from four different types of soups, as well as a selection of ingredients and noodles.
The 4 soups are tomato, pumpkin, mala. and pork bone. Usually these soups are served as a soup base for hot pots at Steamboat restaurant, but it is nice to be able to enjoy a bowl of soup as noodles here in a casual setting!
The soups are made by simmering them in a large pot for hours every day.
The most popular soups are pumpkin and mala. The pumpkin soup is creamy but light, very tasty. So you can drink it up!
The minced meat noodles are exquisite with a hint of garlic.
You can top yourself with as many green onions and 香菜 on the counter as you like.
The Fried Fish Beancurd is very crispy. Good to accompany noodles.
Lunch time set until 4:00 pm includes a drink and is a good deal.

オースティンのショップロットにある麺屋さん。スペシャルな点は、スープを4種類から選び、具材も麺も選べること。
4種のスープはトマト、パンプキン、マーラー、豚骨。通常こういうスープはスチームボート屋さんで鍋のスープベースとしていただくことが多いけれど、ここで麺として気軽に一杯いただけるのが嬉しい。
スープは毎日大鍋で何時間も煮込んで作っています。人気はパンプキンとマーラーとのこと。
パンプキンスープは。クリーミーだけどあっさりしていて、飲み干せるおいしさ。
ひき肉麺はガーリックがきいていて絶妙な味。カウンターに置いてあるネギや香菜を好きなだけ自分でトッピングできるのが良いです。魚のすり身が油揚げで包んで揚げてある料理はとてもサクサク。麺のお供にグッド。
16時までのランチタイムセットはドリンク付きでお得。

There are many kinds of cakes with alcohol. Such a cake shop is only in JB.
They started online business. And reputation is very good, finally opened this real shop in Molek.
Signature cakes are made by liquor (over 40%!) and French couverture chocolate "Valrhona".
The most popular cake is "Whisky Hazelnut Chocolate" with Suntory Kakubin Whisky.
White chocolate cake contains Roku Gin.
Who would you like to share these cakes with?
These spirits cakes are limited to 30 per day. Come early or make a reservation!
They also have rum raisin cookies, Roll cakes, raw chocolate, fruit cake without alcohol etc.
The taste is really good. Come and try!

サントリー角瓶ウイスキーとヴァローナ70%チョコレート使用の「ウィスキーヘーゼルナッツチョコレート」ケーキは1番人気。ロクジン入りのホワイトチョコレートケーキやウォッカやラムを使用したケーキもあります。
お酒使用のケーキは高級な価格帯ですが、お酒の入っていないロールケーキやスフレチーズケーキなど、お手頃なものもあります。
お味はとても美味しい。お酒好きならぜひお試しを。
私はラムレーズンサンドがとても気に入りました。ラム入りの生チョコもグッド。

I think this is the best buffet at the Renaissance in the last 2 years!
All you can eat raw oysters and charbroiled oysters too!
I have been to every dinner buffet at this hotel, and of the past 2 years, this buffet today is personally the best.
It is an Asian themed buffet and the selection and flavors were very good.
The large shrimp tom yum soup was an original recipe by GM Kanit (who is from Thailand!). and was very flavorful and not too spicy. All other Thai dishes were also endorsed by him.
Vietnamese spring rolls, lamb briyani in a bamboo tube, Singapore hocken mee, and many other "must try" items.
The pastry staff has changed and the cakes taste better.
The mango sticky rice is good, and the candy apples were nostalgic and delightful.
Both can be enjoyed on Fridays and Saturdays. (There are no live food stalls such as grilled oysters on weekdays).
Highly Recommended!

ここ2年のルネッサンスのビュッフェの中でこれがベストだと思います！
生牡蠣と炭火焼牡蠣も食べ放題！
このホテルのディナーブッフェは毎回行っていますが、過去2年の中では、今日のこのブッフェが個人的には一番です。
アジアをテーマにしたビュッフェで、品揃えも味付けもとても良かったです。
大きなエビのトムヤムスープは、GMのKanitさん（タイ出身の方です！）のオリジナルレシピで、風味がよく、辛すぎず、とても美味しいです！他のタイ料理も全て彼のお墨付き。
ベトナムの生春巻き、竹筒に入ったラム肉のブリヤニ、シンガポールホッケンミーなどなど、「食べてみたい」と思うものがたくさんあります。
パティシエのスタッフが変わって、ケーキの味も良くなりました。
マンゴースティッキーライスもいいし、リンゴ飴は懐かしくて嬉しかった。
いずれも金・土曜日に楽しむことができます。(平日は焼き牡蠣などのライブ屋台はありません)。
オススメです。

The location is in Chinatown, surrounded by many atmospheric cafes and kopitiams.
Some my friends really like here. I also stayed here for many times.
This time, I stayed 3 nights. My room was corner room with 2 deferent side windows.
Always clean and comfortable. The pillow is little bit too high to me. So I ordered feather pillow. ( lower.)
Breakfast has many selections. Omelette made by lady chef was always perfect texture. So good!

場所はチャイナタウンにあり、周囲には雰囲気の良いカフェやコピティアムがたくさんあります。
友人の中でも、このホテルをとても気に入っている人が何人もいて、私も立地と価格のバランスがとれていることから、何度も泊まっています。
今回は3泊しました。私の部屋はコーナールームで、窓が2つあり、明るくて清潔で心地よかったです。
枕は、私には少し高すぎました。なので、低めな羽毛枕を届けてもらいました。
朝食は多くのセレクションがあります。女性シェフが作るオムレツは、中がふわふわでいつも完璧な食感でした。マレーシアで完璧なオムレツに出会うことは少ないので、貴重。
