I attended the Aussie Beef & Lamb collaborative dining event at the PARKROYAL COLLECTION KL.
Chef Koji Fukuda is currently the Executive Chef at a 5-star hotel in Tokyo. He has lived in Australia and New Zealand for 7 years, and as a Lambassador, he presented a feast of Japanese cuisine and Aussie lamb and beef. The Japanese dishes, which included plenty of Aussie lamb and beef, were nostalgic yet new to me, such as lamb miso Onigiri and Genghis Khan yakisoba noodles.
You can enjoy these tastes at the hotel’s buffet and course dinners until May 25.

パークロイヤルコレクションKLで行われた、オージービーフ&ラムのコラボダイニングイベントに出席しました。
現在東京の5つ星ホテルで総料理長を務めている福田浩二シェフ。オーストラリアとニュージーランドに7年住んだことがあり、ラムバサダー(Lamb + ambassador )として、 和食とオージーラムとビーフの饗宴を披露してくれました。ふんだんにオージーラムとビーフを取り入れた和食は、ラム味噌おにぎりやジンギスカン焼きそばなど、懐かしい中にも新しさのある料理たち。
5月25日まで、ホテルのビュッフェやコースディナーでこれらの味が楽しめます。

What a special evening! A sushi omakase dinner for just eight guests at a time, in a hidden location within the hotel.
This weekend-only collaboration between Grand Hyatt and Sushi Azabu begins with a welcome drink on the 38th floor, followed by a move to the 5th floor. There, a spot-lit counter with only eight seats appears in a space not usually open to hotel guests. Chef Markey (Masaki Arakawa) of Sushi Azabu presents an authentic Edo-mae sushi course.
Using fish from Toyosu market, he slices with a sword-like knife right in front of you. Watching his precise movements is almost as special as tasting the sushi itself.
The sake pairing includes a Nigori aperitif and three types of sake served freely throughout the meal.
Alcohol-free options are also available. Chef Markey, likely the only Japanese-Muslim sushi chef in the world, creates traditional flavors without alcohol.

A sumptuous, meat- and veggie-packed grilled Middle Eastern plate with all-you-can-eat appetizers, numerous dips and ice cream. We can enjoy it in the comfort of Hotel Stripes' lovely European-style restaurant!
The Middle Eastern BBQ semi-buffet dinner by Persian guest chef: Hossein Karimi is all authentic and very tasty. The lamb kebab is simple and brings out the best of the ingredients, while the chicken barbecue, sausages, and savory vegetables are plentiful. Hummus and eggplant dip and bread and an assortment of pickles make for the most CHILL weekend dinner!
After dinner, I recommend going upstairs and enjoying the hotel bar by the pool as well!
