Renaissance hotel’s Ramadan buffet features local heritage and traditional dishes.
The huge drum-like wok filled with traditional Malay dishes are a sight to behold.
Although whole roasted lamb is served in many places, I had never seen a 40 kg whole roasted beef leg before. The giant prawns are one of the first dishes you should get. (They are very popular and disappear quickly.)
I recommend the lamb briyani and the mala beef.
It is so popular that they usually add more seats in the lobby every year, so make reservations early.

Sometimes (quite often) I am asked where is the best Japanese restaurant in JB.
One of the places I always answer is here.
There are only a handful of Japanese restaurants in JB that are owned by Japanese people.
Two of them are Kemuri Sakaba in Permas Jaya and Kemuri in Molek.
You can enjoy home-style cooking and izakaya food, just like in Japan, which is delicious, casual and inexpensive.
It is not as gorgeous as Japanese restaurants by local owners, and you may not find all the flavors easy to understand, but there are a variety of dishes on the menu, so be sure to try some new tastes.
It is not a special Japanese food, but an everyday meal that you can go to every day. I highly recommend it. Check menu!

雰囲気も、料理の数々も、まさに日本の居酒屋。価格はとてもリーズナブル。手作りのおつまみも食事メニューも迷うほどたくさん。
飲み放題があるのが嬉しいし、

Japanese-style shaved ice specialty cafe in KL and JB.
The lineup is centered around large, round shaved ice, as well as anmitsu, strawberry daifuku, and cheesecake.
Overall, moderately sweet. The strawberry mochi DIY set and the Matcha fondue picnic set are very fun when you are with friends or kids.
The lemon meringue pie Kakigori we ordered is a perfect balance of texture and flavor, with refreshingly sour shaved ice, sweet melting meringue, and a crisp cookie inside.
The Matcha Mont Blanc Anmitsu Shaved Ice is my favorite. Soft jelly combined with shaved ice, azuki beans, kuromitsu, Matcha ice cream, Matcha mont blanc, strawberries, shiratama and okaki toppings, and very delicious. There are probably only a few stores in Malaysia that offer this kind of Japanese dessert.
You can also get the strawberry daifuku as a set, which is just the right amount for two or three people to share.

日本式かき氷専門店。KLとJBに店舗があります。
ふんわり大きくて丸いかき氷を中心に、あんみつや苺大福やチーズケーキのラインナップ。全体的に程よい甘さ。いちご餅DIYセットや抹茶フォンデュピクニックセットは、友人や子供と一緒だととても楽しい。
今回オーダーしたレモンメレンゲパイかき氷は、さっぱりと酸味があるかき氷に、甘いとろりとしたメレンゲ、中にはさっくりクッキーが入り、食感と味のバランスが抜群です。
抹茶モンブランあんみつかき氷は、私のイチオシ。寒天ではなく柔らかいジェリーがかき氷に組み合わされ、小豆と黒蜜と抹茶アイスと抹茶モンブラン、いちごや白玉、おかきのトッピングが入り、とてもおいしい。こういう和のデザートをいただけるお店はマレーシアでは数店舗なのではないでしょうか。
いちご大福をセットにすることもできてお得。2-3人でシェアするとちょうど良い量です。

I attended the event “ IN-TEA-MATE TASTING SESSION “.
THE COFFEE BEAN & TEA LEAVES is California brand since 1963.
I tend to order coffee, but they are also particular about the quality of the tea.
Today, I attended to a tea drinking event.
We compared Lung Ching tea, Ceylon tea, and peach jasmine tea, and tasted them with cakes and pies, also tried cold brew tea while listening to a lecture.
As a major café with more than 130 stores in Malaysia alone, I had assumed that they purchase tea leaves in bulk from trading companies, etc. However, I was told that David, the tea master, visits tea farmers one by one, examines their teas, and purchases directly from them. He uses only natural ingredients in all of flavored teas and picks only the two newest leaves, in his pursuit of delicious tea.
Knowing this, I decided to order a variety of teas in addition to coffee in the future.
They currently offer 16 types of tea, and the 3 most popular are English Breakfast, Earl Grey, and Japanese Genmai Cha (brown rice tea).

今日は、お茶飲み比べイベントに招待いただき、伺いました。
龍井茶とセイロンティー、ピーチジャスミンティーの飲み比べ、ケーキやパイとのマリアージュ、コールドブリューティーについてのレクチャーを伺いながら味わいました。
マレーシアだけでも130店舗以上もある大手のカフェなので、商社などから一括で茶葉を仕入れているだろうと思っていましたが、そうではなく、ティーマイスターのデビッド氏が1軒1軒お茶農家を訪問し、吟味して直接買付しているとのこと。フレーバーティーもすべて天然素材のみ使用し、新芽の2葉だけを摘み取るなど、おいしいお茶を追求しています。
それを知って、今後、コーヒーだけではなくさまざまお茶もオーダーしてみようと思いました。
現在16種のお茶を提供していますが、人気ベスト3は、イングリッシュブレックファースト、アールグレイ、そして日本の玄米茶だそうです。

Previously I ordered delivery and Takeaway many times. But Dine in here is first time.
The chef lived in many countries, and worked at a Michelin Hong Kong-style dim sum restaurant in Australia for more than five years. He insists on hand-made all food and sauces without any artificial additives.
Signature Seven colours dumplings are toned by vegetable juice, without artificial coloring. Previously, the dumplings base was seafood. This time it changed to meat base. It’s tasty!
Our ordered dishes are all super delicious!
Quite good taste. Affordable price.

パルマスジャヤにある餃子とヌードルレストラン。
シェフはオーストラリアのミシュラン香港スタイルの点心レストランで5年以上シェフとして働いてきたそう。全ての料理とソースを手作りにこだわり、人工添加物や人工着色料を一切使わないのがポリシー。麺も自家製です。
シグネイチャーの7色餃子は、カラフルですが全て野菜ジュース由来の色。以前はベースはシーフードのアンでしたが、今回お肉になっていてさらに美味しくなっていました。
赤いお肉の麺は紅麹に漬け込んだ柔らかい軟骨豚肉。ピリ辛のピータンきゅうりやワンタンもとてもおいしくて、リーズナブル。いいお店です。

嬉しいハッピーアワー！こんなセットが欲しかった。
ペランギにある日本とタイのヒュージョン焼き鳥バーで、夕方3時から6時まで、ビールと焼き鳥3本でRM29.9 という乾杯セットが登場しました。
日本ではカジュアルな飲み屋で、仕事が早く終わったビジネスマンが3時くらいからビールを飲み出しますが、短い時間でサクッと気軽に飲んで食べて帰るという店がJBにも欲しかった。ここは雰囲気も良いし、炉端焼きやひつまぶしなどのメニューもあります。モクテルのセットもあるので、子供のおやつがわりに立ち寄ることもできるし、1杯だけ飲んで帰るのも、そのまま夜まで飲み続けることもできていい感じ。
密かな楽しみをぜひ！

Burger & Lobster @ Raffles Hotel Arcade, Singapore
Day trip to Singapore.
I had lunch at this famous Restaurant.
It started from London 2011. Now, there are many outlets in 7 countries.
Malaysia outlet is in KLCC and Genting Highland. ( menu is slightly deferent.)
They serve high quality Burgers and Lobster – whether that’s the Nebraskan family-farmed beef that goes into our prime burgers, the freshest Atlantic lobsters.
Classic Lobster Roll has plenty of fresh lobster meat. The seasoning is simple like lemon and butter sauce. Delicious Heaven taste ! We love it.
Burger has Smokey and meaty patty and simple seasoning. It also good.
Will definitely come again.

シンガポールへの日帰り旅行。
この有名なレストランでランチをしました。
2011年にロンドンからスタートし、現在では、世界7カ国に店舗があります。
マレーシアの店舗は、KLCCとゲンティン・ハイランドにあって、店舗ごとに少しずつメニューが異なる感じ。マレーシアとシンガポールの同じメニューの価格を比較すると、ほぼ同じでした。
シンガポールでは空港のジュエルとラッフルズホテルのアーケードにあり、私たちが今回伺ったのはラッフルズホテルです。
ハンバーガーはネブラスカ産の牛肉、ロブスターは大西洋産の新鮮なものを使用しています。
クラシック・ロブスターロールは、新鮮なロブスターの身をふんだんに入っていて、味付けはレモンとバターのソースでシンプルに。本当においしかったです。パン1つに37ドル(約3700円)と思いつつ、ロブスターの量を考えたら逆にリーズナブルに感じるほどでした。
ハンバーガーはスモーキーで肉厚なパティとシンプルな味付け。こちらもおいしかったです。
また来たいと思うお店でした。

Rum Chantilly Cream is from 35% fat fresh whipping cream of France. High quality cream doesn’t let us feel heavy. It is not too sweet, good combination with sour thin sliced strawberries. Fluffy sponge also very light. How delicious Strawberry Shortcake!

上質な素材を使った美味しくて美しいケーキをオーダーすることができます。
ストロベリーショートケーキをいただきました。
ラムシャンテイクリームは、フランス産の脂肪分35％の生クリームにほのかにラムを加えていて、上質なクリームなので重さを感じさせません。甘さは控えめで、酸味のある薄切りのイチゴと相性が良く、ふわふわのスポンジもとても軽い、とてもおいしい苺のショートケーキ。2～3人前の分量で持ち運びもしやすく、プレゼントにも最適です。

Asado is Argentinian BBQ dish where chunks of meat are slowly grilled over charcoal.
Meats are very juicy and tender. Just simple grill. But it’s the best taste with Chimichurri sauce and Salsa criolla.
Argentinian couple cook it! So very authentic! Real taste !!
Feastival is outdoor camp feeling place inside Gaya Garden.
We can enjoy delicious Argentinian Asado, cocktails and Beer under the stars !

BORNEO CULTURES MUSEUM @ kuching, Sarawak, Borneo
So beautiful museum! Highly recommended to everyone.
This is new museum opened in March 2022. It’s Exhibits of Borneo’s culture heritage.
This time, my travel’s main purpose is here.
The largest museum in Malaysia and the second largest in Southeast Asia, it has four floors of exhibits on Borneo's history, nature, and ethnic groups. State-of-the-art exhibits integrated with digital technology are also scattered throughout the museum for further enjoyment.
The Children's Museum is also interesting even for adults, as they can learn about the environment while playing.
The way the exhibits are displayed, the colors, and the lighting are so beautiful that it took us about four hours to take a good look at the entire museum.
The museum also has a museum shop and a fine restaurant. The restaurant had a brunch menu until 1pm, and after that, the signature menu seemed to be a fusion of Malay and Western cuisine.
I really like this museum.

素晴らしい博物館！とってもおすすめ。
2022年3月にオープンした、新しい博物館「ボルネオカルチャーミュージアム」。
マレーシア最大、東南アジアで2番目に大きい博物館で、4つのフロアにボルネオの歴史や自然、民族についての展示があります。デジタルと融合した最新式の展示も随所に散りばめられていてさらに楽しめます。
子供博物館も、遊びながら環境について学べて大人でも興味深い。
展示方法も、色合いも、ライティングもとても美しく、じっくりと全館を見ると、4時間ほどかかりました。
ミュージアムショップや高級レストランも併設。レストランでは午後1時まではブランチメニューがあり、それ以降はマレー料理と西洋料理のヒュージョンメニューがシグネイチャーのようでした。
この博物館が大好き。
