Main Dining at Westin Desaru. Now they have Breakfast Buffet, A la cart menu for lunch and dinner time.
There are not many menu items.
But I could have eaten dinner here every day for five days and not gotten tired of it. Everything was delicious.
( And Marriot Bonvoy member can get discount 10-30%).
I ordered and tasted many kinds of dishes.
Then Let’s say, my most recommend menu is: Chicken Tikka RM40, Claypot Fish Curry RM45, Crumbled Fish & Chips RM50, Pizza Margherita RM45.
Pad Kra Pao RM35 and Prawn noodle RM40 have a good reputation too.
And, Of all the breads at the hotel buffet in Johor, I think the bread here is the best!
Especially Almond Croissant is super delicious !

ウェスティンデサルのメインダイニング。現在ここでは朝食ビュッフェと、ランチとディナータイムにはアラカルトメニューがあります。メニュー数はあまり多くはないですが、ローカルやアジアンメニューと西洋料理といろいろ。今回5日間連続でディナーをここでいただき、いろいろなものを注文してみました。全体的にどれも美味しくボリュームたっぷり。とくにローカルメニューのチキンティッカやクレイポットフィッシュカレー、海老麺がオススメ。ピザやフィッシュ&チップスも人気。マリオットボンボイメンバーや宿泊客は10-30%の割引になるので、ホテルでの食事といっても割高感はありませんでした。
朝食ビュッフェのパンは、ジョホールのホテルのパンの中では1番美味しいのではないでしょうか。種類豊富でサイズも小さくていろいろいただけます。グルテンフリーパンもありました。アーモンドクロワッサンはバターの香りがして絶品。美味しいパンを朝食にいただくと、それだけで満足度が高いです。

Christmas trees and lights are everywhere and people enjoy a special dinner with family, loved ones and friends.
The correct answer is KFC's fried chicken!
Just like in Malaysia, KFC is a normal and familiar fast food. Japanese families are small and the turkey is too big to cook in the average home oven. So many families bake roast chicken, but KFC is popular because it's easy to buy.
Every year at Christmas, KFC sells only a special menu and customers reserve in advance and wait in long lines to receive their items.

Indian family restaurant & Bar at the left side of Twin Galaxy. In Dec, 15%off promotion for all a la cart menu.
It has been going on for 23 years in KL and also has a location in Penang, and is the only Indian restaurant with a music bar in JB.
In the store, where the Live Band stage is located, there is a big screen that shows your favorite international music and Bollywood movies. The restaurant is a great place for family gatherings, parties and other events. No Smoking place.
Two Indian chefs from the South and North serve authentic Indian and Western cuisine.
Claypot Briyani RM30-40 is very fragrant. And this is the most popular menu.
I like Tandoori Chicken Pizza RM38, Garlic Naan RM6. Crab Sizzling is special menu.
At lunch time, you can enjoy Banana leaf Thali Set RM20.

阿波牛向かい、ツインギャラクシーの左端にできたインディアンファミリーレストラン&バー。
KLで23年、ペナンで6年続く店がJBに上陸しました。
ライブバンドステージや大きなスクリーンのある店内では、日本の曲も含む世界の曲やボリウッド映画を流してくれます。バースデーやちょっとしたパーティーやイベントの会場として使えるお店。禁煙なので家族連れにも。
料理は2人の北と南出身のインド人シェフは作っていて本格的。ウェスタンヒュージョンメニューもあります。
ブリヤニは繊細で香り高く、タンドリーチキンピザは具沢山。ランチはバナナリーフのターリセットがお手頃。

5-star hotel in Permas Jaya.
I often do WFH from this hotel even though this is close to home because We can't go out of JB these days.
Very clean and comfortable. Calm interior. The hospitality of the staff is excellent. Would you stay in a hotel if you're not traveling? Those who hear that will want to try it once they know the price.
It is currently the most affordable way to stay, starting at RM189 for a 1 night stay. My recommend is to stay in a Club room. The cheapest way to book directly is to register for free membership. Club lounge is currently closed, but you can use the cafe on the lobby level.
Enjoy WFH and weekends stay.

I stayed this apartment hotel.
Sea view swimming pool, large gym, comfortable library and Kids room, sauna and steam sauna...
The facilities are so extensive that there is not enough time for 1day stay. Room has a kitchen and refrigerator, and you can buy food from the supermarket right next door, and the room is equipped with a washing machine. A nice view from the window. You'll want to stay for a long time.
Breakfast in a box is made in the café on the lobby floor, simple but delicious Nasi Lemak and croissants.
I recommend the “Work From Hotel package” ( Premier 3bedroom for 6pax) RM399nett + Top up for 1 night stay RM100nett.
Family or friends can enjoy Staycation in the room with bathtub. About RM84 per 1 pax. For example, During the day, each of us does what we like to do( work, study, gym, pool, reading...) and at night we all cook and eat together in the kitchen. I think that's a great way to use it.

16 years ago, this restaurant started in Perling.
And now, They are loved by people at Senibon Cove along the harbour.
The restaurant is already full of Christmas mode, and if you make a reservation in advance, the tables will also be decorated for Christmas version. It's a special feeling.
Today's menu is a popular dishes. I like Mutton Briyani RM25.8 very much. It’s served in hot pot. The taste of meat is infiltrate to the rice.
The fresh herb Pesto pasta RM18.8 will soon make you want to eat again.
Creamy Seafood Tom Yum Spaghetti RM25.8 is not spicy, rich taste.
Fresh fruit and vege juice RM10.8-12.8 don’t add any water or sugar. Natural and healthy.

16年前にパーリンでスタートしてから、場所は変わりつつ、ずっと続いているそう。
洋風とローカルアジアンメニューの両方があり、この写真のメニューはお店の人気メニュー。とくに、骨なしマトンのブリヤニと、フレッシュバジルのペストスパゲティがおいしかったです。フレッシュジュースには一切甘味も水も加えてないのが嬉しい。
現在は店内はクリスマスモード一色。事前に予約すれば、テーブルも特別クリスマス仕様にセッティングしてくれるそうです。

現在一般にはクローズ中ですが、クリスマスとお正月用のスペシャルセットがデリバリーとテイクアウトで販売開始しました。
実際、期待していなかっただけに、マンゴーロールケーキの繊細さと軽さ、質の高さと美味しさに驚きました！生地が素晴らしい。おいしいクリームを使っていて、8-10人分の大きさ。
新しいパティシエが入ったとのことで、今後のこのホテルのケーキに期待です。
丸ごとターキーのセットや、ジャパニーズヒュージョンセットは、ボリュームタップリで、全部手作りで丁寧に作られていて、価格に対して価値があると思いました。シンプルで素材を活かした味付けが多くて満足。焼きサーモンの切り身などもしっかりしています。予約は1週間前までに。12月中ならいつでも受け取れます。

I am a Japanese living in Johor Bahru since 2014.
I have been running a food consulting company in Tokyo since 2004. I started this page to learn more about the food business in Johor.
Now, from the point of view of a Japanese who knows Malaysia well, I want to serve you better by telling you about the goodness of Malaysia and Japan.
And acting as a connector, connecting people to people, people to information, and creating new synergies.

Some menu are fusion dishes. It’s very nice combination of ingredients. Not normal. Sophisticated.

Pink colour’s Fried rice with beetroot” RM37 is garlic flagrant. So tasty.
“ Wok fried Australian Wagyu, Foie Gras, Asparagus” RM178. Is super delicious and gorgeous! Marriage of French and Chinese.
If you like coriander, “ Free range chicken with truffle” salad RM33 will be your favourite dish.

ルネッサンスホテルの中華レストランで久々にアラカルトメニューをいただいたら、洗練されててとっても美味しくてびっくりしました。普通の中華じゃない、創作メニューがいろいろ。今回はベストセラーの10種のメニューをいただきましたが、大満足の品々。

香菜好きならチキンとオニオンとトリュフの前菜は欠かせません。四川風フライドチキンや、ピリッと辛くて大きなプリプリのエビのカレークリーム味は必須。予算が豊富にあるなら、オーストリア和牛とフォアグラとアスパラの炒め物は天国。おつまみにはカリカリの白魚揚げや牛肉を乾燥させた甘辛のサクサクの料理がぴったり。ラムチョップはパイナップルBBQ味で甘め。ピンクのビーツの炒飯はニンニクが香ばしくて優しい味でとても美味しいです。烏骨鶏のスープは旨味たっぷり。デザートは、フルーティーなマンゴーピューレと暖かいカスタードまんの組み合わせで。

チキンや卵が入ったボリュームたっぷりのサンドウィッチや、シンプルなスチームビーフン(サンバルを加えるとピリッとスパイシー)。これらはシグネイチャーメニュー。自家製の豆乳も優しい甘味で暖かくておいしいです。
