I stayed at the Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel for the first time in about a year, for 2 nights.
Upon entering the room, I was greeted with a "welcome back" decoration, which gave me a warm feeling. The cleanliness, comfort and hospitality is the same as before, it’s very comfortable. Lovely view of the ocean and Singapore on the other side.
We had Breakfast in the Executive Lounge, and we were pleased with the daily changes, such as the elaborate dim sum from the buffet and the crab congee. There were many menu items that could be ordered, and the scrambled egg and salmon wrap sandwich, cheese and mushroom roti prata, and other items not usually found at hotel breakfasts were very appealing.

約1年ぶりにルネッサンスジョホールバルホテルに宿泊。2泊しました。
部屋に入ると、「お帰りなさい」のデコレーションで迎えていただき、温かい気持ちになりました。清潔さと心地よさ、ホスピタリティは以前から変わらず、落ち着く空間。海と対岸のシンガポールが一望できる素敵なビュー。
朝食はエグゼクティブラウンジでいただきましたが、ビュッフェの飲茶が凝っていたり、カニのお粥があったり、日替わりの内容が嬉しい。オーダーできるメニューもたくさんあり、スクランブルエッグとサーモンのラップサンドや、チーズとマッシュルームのロティプラタサンドなど、通常のホテルの朝食にはないメニューがあって魅力的でした。

The building was originally a cottage built in the 1930s and expanded in the 1970s, and is now the hotel. Colonial-style rooms, a lounge with Jim Thompson fabrics, and a pond with koi carp swim harmoniously together.
Afternoon tea in the Jim Thompson Tea Room is very popular. I have had this before and have always wanted to stay there someday.
The hospitality is both classy and friendly. Waking up to the sound of birds. A la carte quality breakfast. This is the perfect hotel for a relaxing stay in a summer resort.

This Afro-Caribbean (a fusion of West African, Creole, and American Indian cuisine) restaurant is tucked away next to the Stripes Hotel. This was my first experience with this genre.
This place usually serves tapas-like dishes, seafood and meats including pork, but this was a vegan course only day. We enjoyed a 10-course meal of vegetables, fruits, beans, and plant-based meats cooked and seasoned with Afro-Caribbean spices and herbs.
And the drink that goes with the food here is mezcal. Mezcal is a generic term for a Mexican specialty spirit made mainly from agave, which also includes tequila. Its alcohol content ranges from 35-55%.
The mezcal was served in a cup called jicara, made in Mexico from a miracle fruit, and after drinking it, I felt a warm sensation in my throat.
It was a wonderful experience. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

素敵な空間、新しい感覚の料理、いい雰囲気！
ストライプスホテル横にひっそりとあるアフロカリビアン(西アフリカ料理、クレオール料理、アメリカン・インディアン料理が融合した)レストラン。このジャンルは初めての経験でした。
ここでは、いつもはタパス的な料理やシーフードや豚肉を含むお肉を提供していますが、この日はビーガンコースだけの日。野菜とフルーツと豆、プラントベースミートをアフロカリビアンのスパイスやハーブで味付けして調理した10品のコースを楽しみました。
そしてここでの料理にかかせないお酒が、メスカル。メスカルは、リュウゼツランを主原料とするメキシコ特産蒸留酒の総称で、大きな括りの中にテキーラも含まれています。アルコール度数は35-55%。
ミラクルフルーツから作られたメイドインメキシコのjicara というおちょこで、メスカルをいただくのですが、飲んだ後に喉がじんわり熱くなり、味わい深くてスモーキーで、やみつきになりそうなお酒でした。
素晴らしい経験ができました。またぜひ伺いたいお店です。

There are many traditional street food, nostalgic snacks, and delicious Malaysian local twist!
The food at the buffet, beautifully and classically decorated, was carefully prepared, delicate and tasty.
I really enjoyed the seafood Thai red curry fusilli from the fusion pasta section, which is finished with an oriental sauce.
I also recommend the biryani, chicken Indian curry, Hainanese chicken chop, and seafood congee. The signature white coffee crème brûlée is so good that you will want to come back for it.

No Pork, No Lard
Everyone knows this long-established Cantonese restaurant. Just up the stairs from the lobby of the Shangri-La Hotel, the restaurant has a classic, relaxed atmosphere with a red base color.
We visited for the Peking Duck.
The Peking Duck has a very high level of crispiness of the skin, thickness and flavor. For the second course using duck meat, you can choose from six dishes, including stir-fry and fried rice, but we ordered the minced meat wrapped in lettuce.
The other dishes are also excellent. There were many creative dishes that you won't find at other restaurants, such as crispy shaved soft-shell crab and yams.
The prices are upscale, but you can get a discount if you are a Shangri-La club member or book through Eatigo.

誰もが知る、老舗の広東料理レストラン。シャングリラホテルのロビーから階段を上がるとすぐ、赤を基調としたクラシックで落ち着いた雰囲気のレストランです。
北京ダックを食べに伺いました。
皮のクリスピーさ、厚さや風味など、かなりレベルの高い北京ダックです。ダックの肉を使用した2コース目は、炒め物やチャーハンなど6品から選べますが、ミンチのレタス包みをオーダーしました。
他の料理も絶品。ソフトシェルクラブとヤムイモのクリスピーなかき揚げなど、他店では見かけない創作料理もたくさんありました。
お値段は高級ですが、シャングリラのクラブメンバーやEatigoを通した予約で割引になります。

So delicious! How about to celebrate Chinese New Year with Sichuan dishes ?
It’s the first CNY for very new hotel: “Fourpoints by Sheraton KLCC”. The hotel restaurant SICHUAN KITCHEN serve authentic taste by Sichuan native chef.
I tasted “Private dining room set 1 (RM168/pax). Yee Sang to Dessert, the set include 14 dishes !
Starting with a spicy appetizer, a gentle soup with chicken fluffed up like soft tofu, and a main course of six very satisfying dishes: abalone, sea bream, beef, lamb, chicken, and vegetables. The meal concludes with fried rice and fruit.
It was a very tasty and well balanced set, and I never got bored until the end.
There is also a hot pot course, and this is the only hot pot restaurant in Malaysia that has one in the hotel. You can enjoy delicious Sichuan cuisine in a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere.

プライベートダイニングセット1（1人あたりRM168）をいただきました。イーサンからデザートまで14品！
スパイシーな前菜からはじまり、鶏肉をおぼろ豆腐のようにふわふわにした優しいスープ、メインディッシュは鮑、金目鯛、牛肉、ラム、鶏肉、野菜と大充実の6品。締めはフライドライスとフルーツ。
メリハリのあるセットで、最後まで飽きずにとても美味しくいただけました。
他に火鍋コースもあり、ホテル内に火鍋レストランがあるのはマレーシアで唯一ここだけ。高級感のある落ち着いた空間でおいしい四川料理がいただけます。

Of course, there are many kinds of dishes. I feel all category of dishes are so tasty. Especially I like Butter chicken masala, Ginger beef chinese style and Roots vegetable gratin. Variety of Ice cream, petit cakes, ice tea is also very good.

木曜日だけ！ル・メリディアンホテル ペタリンジャヤのアジアン・バーベキュー・ビュッフェは、とても素敵だしリーズナブル！
好きなシーフードとお肉を選び、マレー、インド、中華、洋食のそれぞれに持っていってソースを選ぶと、作り立てを運んでくれます。
もちろん、料理の種類も豊富。通常ホテルのビュッフェだと、料理のカテゴリーによって得意不得意がありますが、このホテルは、マレー、インド、中華、洋食、ケーキまで、どのカテゴリーの料理もとても美味しく感じました。特に、バターチキンマサラ、中華のジンジャービーフ、洋食の根菜グラタンが気に入りました。アイスクリームやプチケーキ、アイスティーも種類が豊富にあって嬉しい。
