“Miyagi Bluefin Tuna Ootoro Negitoro Don” is signature. Lunch time, it’s only RM35 ! Unbelievable price.

三陸の海の幸がいただける！ものすごくお得なランチ！
約1ヶ月前にダマンサラのショップロットにオープンしたおまかせとアラカルトのジャパニーズレストラン。
宮城県で1966年からマグロ加工とレストランを営んでいる会社です。
夜はおまかせの他、お酒3種飲み比べセットやお刺身などアラカルトも。
ランチはシグネイチャーのネギトロ丼や三陸のお刺身丼、定食などがRM35前後でいただけてものすごいコストパフォーマンス。
ネギトロはスキ身を包丁でたたいて仕上げる本格的なもの。三陸丼にはヒラメの昆布締め、鰤の炙り、中トロやホタテやサーモン、鯖とイクラまで入っていました。
わざわざ行く価値があるお得感。近所にあったらいいのにと思うお店でした。

Leading you on a gastronomic journey from traditional to contemporary trendy dishes, this buffet is not only delicious but also committed to sustainability. Responsible sourcing of ingredients, local support, and even measuring and managing food waste drive the "Green Ramadan" concept.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of each dish, even the potatoes and chitose tomatoes that accompanied the whole lamb.
There are many dishes to try, including wagyu beef roti jong and murtaba, fish curry made to order, and grilled salmon wrapped in banana leaves. Desserts are also wonderful, with an assortment of unusual items from around the world.

This Afro-Caribbean (a fusion of West African, Creole, and American Indian cuisine) restaurant is tucked away next to the Stripes Hotel. This was my first experience with this genre.
This place usually serves tapas-like dishes, seafood and meats including pork, but this was a vegan course only day. We enjoyed a 10-course meal of vegetables, fruits, beans, and plant-based meats cooked and seasoned with Afro-Caribbean spices and herbs.
And the drink that goes with the food here is mezcal. Mezcal is a generic term for a Mexican specialty spirit made mainly from agave, which also includes tequila. Its alcohol content ranges from 35-55%.
The mezcal was served in a cup called jicara, made in Mexico from a miracle fruit, and after drinking it, I felt a warm sensation in my throat.
It was a wonderful experience. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

素敵な空間、新しい感覚の料理、いい雰囲気！
ストライプスホテル横にひっそりとあるアフロカリビアン(西アフリカ料理、クレオール料理、アメリカン・インディアン料理が融合した)レストラン。このジャンルは初めての経験でした。
ここでは、いつもはタパス的な料理やシーフードや豚肉を含むお肉を提供していますが、この日はビーガンコースだけの日。野菜とフルーツと豆、プラントベースミートをアフロカリビアンのスパイスやハーブで味付けして調理した10品のコースを楽しみました。
そしてここでの料理にかかせないお酒が、メスカル。メスカルは、リュウゼツランを主原料とするメキシコ特産蒸留酒の総称で、大きな括りの中にテキーラも含まれています。アルコール度数は35-55%。
ミラクルフルーツから作られたメイドインメキシコのjicara というおちょこで、メスカルをいただくのですが、飲んだ後に喉がじんわり熱くなり、味わい深くてスモーキーで、やみつきになりそうなお酒でした。
素晴らしい経験ができました。またぜひ伺いたいお店です。

The challenge is to create two highball cocktails using Dewar's, a Scotch whisky founded in Scotland in 1846, and the winners are chosen by scoring their tastes and overall appeal.
Today, I attended the event where the Malaysian winner was announced.
The winner was Ms. Chang Shuen of Bar COLEY. She will receive a plane ticket to Japan, a guest shift experience at a Japanese bar, and a cash prize worth US$1,000.
The event was held at Burger & Lobster in KLCC, where guests enjoyed lobster rolls or burgers and Dewar's 15-year highballs.
Dewar's 15 Year is a blend of more than 40 different types of whiskey, mainly Aberfeldy, aged for more than 15 years. Its sweet, gorgeous aroma and smooth taste can be enjoyed straight or as a highball, and it is so delicious that I could drink it all the time.
In fact, for this year's Highball Challenge, I visited three bars as an undercover judge to score the highballs. It was an interesting and wonderful experience.

Tasting Notes:
Aroma: A good balance of Sherried spices, nutty elements and apple skin.
Palate: Oily walnut leading into fresh malt and sultanas. Chewy vanilla toffee.
Finish: More sweet dried fruit notes with touch of grassiness.

ASEAN地域5カ国で毎年実施されている「Dewar’s Highball challenge(デュワーズ ハイボール チャレンジ)」。
スコットランドで1846年に創業したスコッチウィスキーDewar’s を使用したハイボールカクテルを2種作り、その味わいや総合的な魅力を採点して優勝者を決めるというもの。
本日、マレーシアでの優勝者が発表されるイベントに出席しました。
優勝したのは、Bar COLEYのChang Shuenさん。日本行きの航空券と、日本のバーでのゲストシフトの経験、そしてUSドルで10000ドル相当の賞金が贈られます。
KLCCの「Burger & Lobster」でイベントが開催され、ロブスターとロールやバーガーなどとDewar’s15年のハイボールを楽しみました。
Dewar’s15年は、15年以上熟成されたアバフェルディを中心とした40種類以上の原酒をブレンドしたウィスキー。甘く華やかな香りとなめらかな味わいは、ストレートでもハイボールでも楽しめて、ずっと飲み続けてしまいそうなおいしさ。
実は今回のハイボールチャレンジ、私も覆面審査員として、3つのバーに伺って採点しました。興味深く素敵な経験でした。

My family (3pax) stayed Residence Suite room for 3nights.
The Residence Suites are perfect for a live-in stay, with a living room, one bedroom, and bathroom, as well as a kitchen, study, and window patio.
The staff is friendly and hospitable, and the club lounge is spacious and comfortable. The scones and butter cake available at teatime were very good.
We were able to choose to use both the restaurant and the club lounge for breakfast.

家族(3名)がレジデンススイートルームに3泊しました。
レジデンススイートは、リビングと1ベッドルーム、バスルームの他、キッチン、書斎、窓際のパティオがあり、暮らすように滞在するにはぴったり。
スタッフもフレンドリーでホスピタリティがよく、クラブラウンジも広くて快適。ティータイムにいただけるスコーンやバターケーキもとても美味しかったです。
朝食はレストランとクラブラウンジ両方を選んで使うことができました。

Chinese New Year 2024 is almost here!
The St. Regis KL is offering an exclusive Chinese New Year lineup that seems to promise wealth and prosperity. Chinese set menus, afternoon tea, cocktails and gifts are all part of the festive atmosphere.
Dinner started with my first Yee Sang of the year. There were four different toppings and I had the most popular one, salmon. Yee Sang is a recipe that has been handed down from generation to generation of the hotel's owner. The colorful vegetables were refreshing.
For aperitif, I had the "Jade Dragon," one of three limited edition cocktails served at Astor Bar. Based on Macallan 12 year old with pineapple and other ingredients, the cocktail is served with caviar blini. This drink alone is already blissful.
Executive Chinese Chef Cheong Boon Fei's Chinese set menu, starting at RM438 nett per person, is individually served and can be enjoyed in a private room for orders over RM3000. The exquisite nine-course menu, which includes such delicacies as swallow's nest soup and steamed premium fish, Red Spotted grouper, also includes beautiful dragon cookies, which are available a la cart too.
