Chinese New Year Celebration at
The Face Style @ KL
The 8th day of Chinese New Year is said to be the day of most wealth and prosperity.
We attended the festive Chinese New Year event (Acrobatic Lion Dance, Yee Sang, Buffet Lunch) at the 5-star Hotel & Residence: The Face Style, located in the Golden Triangle of KL.
We saw the longest firecrackers ever, and the lion dance, which lasted over 90 minutes, seemed to promise prosperity to come.

A new landmark has been born in the heart of Kuala Lumpur!
Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur, a 312-room hotel with a stylish design, opened on December 18, and I attended its opening party.
With the theme of fusion of global and local, this unique hotel combines modern comforts with the opportunity to connect deeply with the local community while being an international hotel.
The staff uniforms, created in collaboration with local artist "Jefr," are casual and cute.
The three on-site restaurants offer authentic and innovative Italian and Malaysian flavors, created by Executive Chef Vincenzo Carbone and F&B Director Davide Brescianini.
General Manager Chikako Shimizu, who has a 25-year career with hotels around the world, including Andaz Macau and Andaz Singapore (a Japanese woman with an elegant and glamorous presence who was overwhelmed by her lovely appearance!)) said in her speech, Our staff is passionate about being close to our guests like a Kawan (best friend) and connecting with the local community through authentic experiences, not the typical tourist trails.
Opening promotion is underway until 1/31.

Today, I attended this Event with a friend.
“Kagami Biraki 鏡開き” is a Japanese tradition of breaking open a sake barrel during celebrations.
It’s a ritual to pray for good luck and prosperity in the New Year, because the circular shape （ mirror-shaped）sake barrel symbolize happiness and harmony, and the act of "opening" has an auspicious meaning of opening luck.
Then, kaiseki courses by Chef Kazuo Takizawa is paired with sake, shochu, and ume wine.
He is with over 20 years of experience in Japanese cuisine, comes from "Nadaman なだ万”: Famous Kaiseki Restaurant in Japan to showcase his skills. His creative seven-course kaiseki cuisine, which takes an innovative approach to traditional Japanese flavors and creates harmony, is paired with six carefully selected varieties of sake, shochu, and ume wine.
The marriage was wonderful, matching the intensity of the flavors of the dishes.
Zipangu with a Zen atmosphere is very nice and perfect for dinners and celebrations.

Westin Desaru's Festive Buffet. For the past few years, the hotel's festive buffet has been well-received for its quality, taste, and variety, and it has said that it is worth a visit for this buffet from JB.
This year's event was no exception. Executive Chef Ding and his team have created a Christmas menu that is not only Western, but also Malaysian, Indian, and Chinese dishes that are sure to be the stars of the show. It is hard to decide what to eat.
The Westin Desaru Coast Resort is now even more luxurious and beautiful with a new resort pool and new restaurant, and is well worth a visit from JB.

The start of the festivities at Anantara Desaru!
I attended this Christmas Tree Lightning Ceremony.
Beginning of the festival season. Beautiful white trees set up by the beach. Barefoot, we enjoyed wine, cocktails, and finger food while feeling the sound of the waves and the breeze from the ocean.
Christmas carols listened on the beach gave the event a very resort-like atmosphere.
Speeches were made by the Area General Manager: Torsten Richter and a lighting ceremony was held by the children.
ラグジュアリーリゾート、アナンタラデサルコーストのクリスマスツリー点灯式イベントに出席しました。
フェスティバルシーズンの始まり。ビーチサイドに設置された白いツリーが美しい。裸足になって、波の音と海からの風を感じながらのワインやカクテル、フィンガーフードをいただきました。ビーチで聴くクリスマスキャロルは、リゾート感満載。

STAR KIDS is a facility where children can challenge themselves and gain a sense of accomplishment through the concept of "learning while playing" based on the theme of exercise. I took a tour of the facility.
In the main stage, there is a huge interactive digital screen for exercise challenges, and in the class rooms, wushu, zumba, taekwondo, and kickboxing etc are offered by dedicated coaches for an additional fee of RM20 per class or less.
In the play area, children can not only move and play to their heart's content, but there are also mechanisms scattered throughout to help them gain confidence through challenges, and I was impressed by the staff who encouraged them and gave them lots of praise. There are also facilities for adults to enjoy together, and it is possible to work out on the gym machines while the kids play.
Next door, the "GET Stage" opened for the first time in Malaysia. Not only will it sell character goods, but it will also sell trading cards and hold teaching events.
It is a wonderful facility where children can exercise freely and gain confidence.

STAR KIDSは運動をテーマに”遊びながら学ぶ”をコンセプトに、子どもたちが挑戦する土壌を作り、成し遂げる達成感を得られる施設。さっそく見学してきました。
メインステージではエクササイズチャレンジができる巨大なインタラクティブデジタルスクリーンがあり、クラスルームではウーシュー(中国武術)やズンバ、テコンドーやキックボクシングを専属コーチが提供し、1クラスRM20以下の追加料金で参加できます。
遊びのエリアでは、子供が思いっきり体を動かして遊べるだけでなく、挑戦を通して自信をつけられるような仕組みが散りばめられ、スタッフの方が勇気づけてくれたり、たくさん褒めてくれていたのが印象的でした。大人も一緒に楽しめる設備もあり、子供が遊ぶ間、ジムのマシーンでトレーニングする事も可能。
また、隣にはマレーシアで初となる「GET ステージ」もオープン。キャラクター雑貨販売のみならず、トレーディングカードの販売と、ティーチングイベントも実施するそう。
子供たちがのびのびと体を動かして、自信もつけられる素敵な施設です。
