Beef Wellington and short rib stew, freshly made Blue River Prawn Masak Lemak, Whole steamed fish and chili crab, Three kinds of chicken rice, a variety of Malay dishes that the chef who cooked them knows how to prepare, French, Indian, Middle Eastern and sushi! A very enjoyable weekend buffet with more tempting dishes than you can eat.
I especially liked The fish dish with shrimp and scallops broth cream sauce and The gnocchi with king prawns and spinach.
The hotel's buffet also has an amazing selection of cheeses.

Mercure Nagano Matsushito Resort & Spa @ Nagano, Japan
Short trip to Japan for family celebration events. I came to Nagano Prefecture where my family lives.
This Mercure Nagano Matsushiro is a 20-minute drive from Zenkoji Temple, a famous landmark in Nagano City.
The huge hot spring hotel became Mercure brand and opened in April 2024.
The rooms and other facilities are quite old style, but the onsen and outdoor baths are very nice. The system is quite efficient, and amenities and water are self-service, taken from a place where they are put together.
The Mercure group in Japan has an all-inclusive system, which means that buffet breakfast, buffet dinner, drinks and alcoholic beverages at meals, and drinks and alcoholic beverages in the lounge are all included in the price.
The meals are not luxurious food, but they are very tasty and of high-end hotel quality, and are made special by the local red grape juice, apple juice, Shine muscat, and creative sauces, as well as all the sake, shochu, and sparkling wine you can drink. It is very satisfying.
It was extremely crowded even on a weekday (most of the customers were Japanese), but it was a great value for money, which explains why it is so popular.

家族のお祝いイベントのため、日本に一時帰国中。家族の住む長野県に来ました。
このメルキュール長野松代は、長野市の名所、善光寺から車で20分ほどのところ。巨大な温泉ホテルがメルキュールブランドになり2024年4月にオープンしました。
部屋などはとても古く、かなり昔のスタイルですが、温泉と露天風呂があるのがとても良い。システムがかなり効率化されていて、アメニティや水は、まとめて置いてある場所から取るセルフサービス。日本のメルキュール系列にはオールインクルーシブシステムがあり、ビュッフェ朝食、ビュッフェディナー、食事でのお酒とドリンク、ラウンジでのお酒やドリンクが全て込みの料金。食事は豪華な食材はありませんが高級ホテルクオリティでとてもおいしく、地元の濃い赤ぶどうジュースやリンゴジュース、シャインマスカット、クリエイティブなソース類によってスペシャル感があり、お酒も日本酒や焼酎、スパークワインもすべて飲み放題。大満足です。
平日でもものすごく混み合っていますが(客のほとんどが日本人)、人気の理由がわかるお得感がありました。

It has been a long time since I stayed at the Renaissance Johor Bahru, a cozy and truly relaxing hotel. This time, they upgraded me to a pool terrace room.
A Renaissance specialty? s welcome message on the mirror, the welcome amenity of three sophisticated, creative, and delicious bottled salsas and mini cones, and the heartwarming hospitality with fresh presentation every time. The rooms are very clean and the staff is hospitable. The hotel is neither too dignified nor too casual, but rather comfortable with just the right amount of kindness and just the right amount of warmth.
The omelette at breakfast was creamy, rich, and very tasty.
I was also reminded that the location is very convenient for getting around by Grab, with easy access to JB Town and to the Austin and Molek areas.

ルネッサンス名物？の鏡へのウェルカムメッセージ、洗練されたクリエイティブでおいしい3種の瓶入りサルサとミニコーンのウェルカムアメニティ、毎回新鮮な演出に心温まるおもてなし。部屋はとても清潔で、スタッフもホスピタリティにあふれています。凛としすぎているわけでもなく、カジュアル過ぎることもなく、ほどよい優しさ、ほどよい温かさがなんとも心地よいホテル。
朝食のオムレツがトロトロクリーミーで濃厚で、とても美味しかったです。
また、JBタウンにも、オースティンやモレックエリアへもアクセスがよく、グラブで移動するのにとても便利な立地だと再認識しました。

Wan Li, a premium Cantonese restaurant located in the Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel, is well known for its high quality no-pork dim sum.
The a la carte dim sum was even better, with constantly updated menus and recipes.
The Shrimp and Chicken Xiu mai with Salted Egg is not only creative and delicious, but also pretty to look at. The xiaolongbao is also deep and rich, and the overall texture of the plump shrimp and chicken is very nice.
Because it is a restaurant in a hotel, this restaurant is probably also the most attractive because of its elegant and relaxing space.

ルネッサンスジョホールバルホテル内にあるプレミアム広東料理レストラン、Wan Li。べ質の高いノーポークの点心をいただけると定評のあるお店。
アラカルトの点心は、常にメニューもレシピもアップデートしていて、さらに美味しくなっていました。
ソルティッドエッグ入りの海老と鶏肉のシュウマイは、クリエイティブで美味しいだけでなく見た目も可愛い。小籠包も深いコクがあり、全体的にプリプリの海老や鶏肉の食感が感じられるのがとても良いです。
ホテル内のレストランだからこそ、上品な空間で落ち着いていただけるのもこのお店の魅力でしょう。

Fabulous Sunday Brunch at Michelin Selected restaurant: The Brasserie at St.Regis Kuala Lumpur.
This is the second time I have visited since this new Sunday brunch started in May.
Very elegant. Great time starting with an aperitif in the Astor Bar before the buffet time and ending with beautiful desserts. There is also live music. (Today it was violin.)
The emphasis is on quality rather than number of items. Although it is a buffet, you can enjoy it like a superb course, and the fullness is amazing. Highly recommended！Today they gave us Honey souvenir too!

Next to the Bukit Bintang Pavilion, the Grand Millennium Hotel is hosting a special buffet to celebrate Malaysia.
Chef Hardeep and team have created an array of typical dishes from all regions of Malaysia.
From the north, Rojak and Char Kuih Teiao from Penang, and Laksa Johor from Johor are featured from the south. I liked Ayam Ponte from the state of Malacca, and the durian soup dessert was an everyone’s favorite.
Other offerings include seafood, Western cuisine, sushi, and a wide selection of desserts.
I was happy to see that the promotion runs every day during the period, Monday through Sunday.

ブキビンタンパビリオンの横、グランドミレニアムホテルでは、マレーシアを祝う特別ビュッフェを開催。
シェフ Hardeepとチームによる、マレーシア各地の代表的な料理が勢揃いしています。
北部からはペナンのロジャックやチャークイティアオ、南部からはジョホールのラクサジョホールなどが紹介されています。私はマラッカ州からのアヤム・ポンテが気に入り、ドリアンのスープデザートが人気でした。
その他、シーフードや洋食、お寿司や幅広いデザートのラインナップが充実。
月曜から日曜まで、期間中は毎日実施しているのが嬉しい。
