Chew Jetty @ George Town, Penang
A settlement of waterfront housing complexes on wooden stilts where families of people who came to Penang from China in the 19th century came to live. The area has been attracting attention since George Town was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The waterfront houses, with pathways running all over the place, had souvenir shops for tourists, but there were also actual people living in the houses.
It was a nice and rustic tourist spot.
