A special afternoon tea to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Shangri-La Hotel, KL.
A collaboration with London Tea Exchange, a tea brand established in London in 1679 during the reign of King Charles II. A variety of teas are used for savories, sweets and scones, with a choice of eight different teas for each guest to choose from.
This was my first time to have afternoon tea at Shangri-La KL.
The food by Executive Chef Scott Brands is like a course at a fine dining restaurant, with each dish beautifully presented, delicate and full of flavor. The aromas and different textures were delightful and wonderful.
The teas served together were a fascinating lineup, including "Pistachio and Truffle Tea," which the Prince of Dubai ordered to be produced for his father, and "Sea of Blossoms," which combines over 100 different flowers and red berries. Be sure to try the noble flavors loved by 82 royal families around the world.
In the Lobby Lounge, you can enjoy 40 different kinds of this brand of tea to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
