Nikaku by Azabu, located in Isetan Lot 10, is an omakase sushi restaurant supervised by the world's only Muslim Japanese sushi chef, Marky (Masaki Arakawa).
The sushi here is completely alcohol-free, yet it is authentic and exquisite Japanese sushi itself.
The sushi is made by a local Malaysian chef who learned the technique directly from Mr. Marky. Some of the ingredients and tableware are Made in Malaysia, blending Malaysian elements with Japanese traditions.
The new Hand Roll Omakase course is now available. The course starts at an easy RM88. The Hand Roll sushi is a succession of mouthwatering delicacies: mellow kelp butter and scallops, carefully loosened mud crab and ikura, and melting engawa accented with Japanese herb flower. You can also enjoy the texture of the crispy, high-quality nori seaweed.
The simple and elegant counter is the one and only place where Malaysians can learn about omakase and sushi in depth in their own language. It is an amazing restaurant that can bring the exact traditions of Japan to Malaysians and Muslims.

ここのお寿司は、アルコール完全不使用でハラル仕様なのに、本格的な極上の日本のお寿司そのもの。
Marky氏から直接技術を学んだローカルマレーシア人シェフが握ります。一部の食材や食器はマレーシア産を使用して、マレーシアの要素と日本の伝統を融合。
今回、手巻きおまかせコースが新しく登場。コースは手軽なRM88から。まろやかな昆布バターと帆立、丁寧にほぐしたマッドクラブといくら、とろけるエンガワに花穂のアクセント、など次々と口中に美味しさが広がる手巻き寿司。パリッとした上質な海苔の食感も楽しめます。
シンプルでエレガントなカウンターで、おまかせやお寿司について、マレーシアの方々が自国の言葉で深く知ることができる唯一無二の場所。日本の正確な伝統をマレーシアやムスリムの方に届けることができるすごいお店です。
