No Pork, No Lard, Halal certified Wagyu
Japanese Wagyu beef, a rarity a few years ago, now lines many Wagyu restaurants in Kuala Lumpur. While there is a lot of talk about the superiority of brand-name beef, only a few restaurants serve truly high-quality Wagyu beef without the use of growth hormones.
TTDI's "Issen" is an omakase restaurant by Chef Satoshi Nagayama, a master of Wagyu beef. It was born out of the desire for people to taste real Wagyu beef and to experience the four seasons in Japan.
The chef visited the farm and selected Hida Shichiri Beef. The beef is grown in the mountains and its legs and backs are well-trained, so it has a good balance of fat content and excellent meat quality.
At Issen, you can enjoy the premium omakase, a la carte, and even a simple lunch. The Casual Omakase (5course RM198++ ) I had this time included a minced pork cutlet sandwich, sirloin shabu shabu, and wagyu rice etc without any compromise. Perfect for those who want to enjoy the real thing even in moderate portions.
