Purple Cane Tea Cuisine @ Shaw Parade, KL
No Pork, No Lard
Purple Cane Tea House was founded in 1987 and started as a base for promoting tea culture. It has more than 25 outlets in Malaysia, including tea stores and restaurants.
We visited the first tea restaurant in Malaysia, which opened in 1997. Tea is used in all dishes, and the food is healthy-oriented, low in oil, salt, and sugar, and free of MSG.
The dishes are full of comforting flavors. We had homemade tofu with frozen oolong tea, Peking duck with lychee tea, and stir-fried mountain mushrooms with marmite tea sauce. It was very tasty. The rice is also cooked with Longjing tea.
They have many kinds of easy one set meal sets for lunch.
