I love their Fish & Chips. Crispy, light and fluffy Fish, French fry, mashed green pea, everything is perfectly delicious.

Today’s Starter was Pumpkin soup. House drink : Ginger lemon tea is also good!

After visiting the Museum of Decorative Arts, we moved to the Bastille for a late lunch. We stumbled upon and entered an Art Nouveau bistro that has been in business since 1902.
We ordered onion gratin soup, foie gras terrine, and beef steak to share. The onion gratin soup was so good that we ordered it again.
After that, we went to the Opera Bastille to see an Verdi's opera "Don Carlo". I booked the tickets 3 months in advance, but they were almost sold out, so I recommend booking very early.
That's Paris. The orchestra and singers each had about 100 members. The singers were outstanding. Great voices and volume.
The production was in a modern style, so my son said he would have preferred a more classical stage decoration, but it was really wonderful.

装飾芸術美術館を観たあと、バスティーユに移動して遅いランチ。偶然見つけて入った店は、1902年から続くアールヌーボー様式のビストロだった。オニオングラタンスープ、フォアグラのテリーヌ、ビーフステーキをオーダーしてシェア。オニオングラタンスープはおいしすぎて再オーダーした。
その後オペラ座バスティーユでVerdi のオペラ「ドン・カルロ」を観た。3ヶ月前にチケットを予約したけれど、売り切れ寸前だったので、かなり早めの予約がおすすめ。
さすがパリ。オーケストラもシンガーもそれぞれ100名くらいが出演。圧巻のシンガーたち。素晴らしい歌声と声量。
モダンなスタイルの演出だったので、息子はもっとクラシカルな舞台デコレーションの方が良かったと言っていたけれど、本当に素晴らしかった。

The Museum of Decorative Arts is located in the same Palais du Louvre as the Louvre Museum. The museum exhibits 6,000 pieces out of the 150,000 items in its collection, including furniture, costume jewelry, decoration from the Middle Ages to the present day.
I came here because an exhibition of Christofle silverware was being held as part of a special exhibition.
I thought Christofle was a brand that made cutlery and candlesticks, but I had no idea that they also made angel decorations on top of opera houses and churches, and even doors!
I saw everything from every nook and cranny of the huge collection, which spans 9,000 square meters. I think this museum is a tremendous inspiration for designers.

ルーブル美術館と同じルーブル宮にある装飾美術館。中世から現代までの装飾(調度品、コスチュームジュエリー、家具など、所蔵する15万点のうち6000点が展示されている。
企画展で銀製品のChristofle (クリストフル)の展示が実施中だったのでここに来てみた。
クリストフルはカトラリーや燭台などを作るブランドだと思っていたけど、オペラ座や教会の上についている天使の飾りやドアまで手掛けていたとは！
9000平米もの広さの膨大なコレクションを隅から隅まで全て見た。デザインの仕事をしている方にとって、物凄いインスピレーションをもらえる美術館だと思う。
