Chinese New Year 2024 is almost here!
The St. Regis KL is offering an exclusive Chinese New Year lineup that seems to promise wealth and prosperity. Chinese set menus, afternoon tea, cocktails and gifts are all part of the festive atmosphere.
Dinner started with my first Yee Sang of the year. There were four different toppings and I had the most popular one, salmon. Yee Sang is a recipe that has been handed down from generation to generation of the hotel's owner. The colorful vegetables were refreshing.
For aperitif, I had the "Jade Dragon," one of three limited edition cocktails served at Astor Bar. Based on Macallan 12 year old with pineapple and other ingredients, the cocktail is served with caviar blini. This drink alone is already blissful.
Executive Chinese Chef Cheong Boon Fei's Chinese set menu, starting at RM438 nett per person, is individually served and can be enjoyed in a private room for orders over RM3000. The exquisite nine-course menu, which includes such delicacies as swallow's nest soup and steamed premium fish, Red Spotted grouper, also includes beautiful dragon cookies, which are available a la cart too.

In Japan, January 1 is the New Year and the beginning of the year.
Usually, families spend the day relaxing together, enjoying New Year's dishes “Osechi Ryori”, watching TV leisurely, and going to shrines for Hatsumode (New Year's visit to shrines).
Today, I went to Malaysia for Hatsumode.
Did you know that there is shrine where you can visit in Malaysia? Just like in Japan, you can visit, draw omikuji (paper fortune) and buy omamori (good luck charms) here.
Izumo Oyashiro Malaysia was established in March 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The original Izumo Oyashiro Shrine is located in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture, and although the exact date of its origin is not known, it was already mentioned in Japanese mythology as early as the 700s (1300 years ago!). The deity is Okuninushi no Okami, who is said to be the creator of the country of Japan in Japanese mythology.
The shrine is located in the Saujana Villa condominium. You enter the shrine as if you were going to a friend's house, telling the guard house at the entrance where you are visiting.
We visited to shrine next to the entrance of the condominium. There is also a return box for old amulet, and it is nice to experience the feeling of going to a regular shrine in Malaysia.
Many Japanese people were there.

元旦の今日、私は、マレーシアで初詣をしてきました。
日本の神社と同じように、ここでお詣りをしたり、おみくじを引いたり、お守りを購入することもできます。
出雲大社マレーシア講社 (Izumo Oyashiro Malaysia) は、2010年3月にマレーシア、クアラルンプールに設立されました。
大元の出雲大社は島根県出雲市大社町にあり、はじまりの正確な時期はわかりませんが、700年代(1300年前！)にはすでに日本神話に記載がある、最も歴史のある神社です。祭神は、日本神話に登場する日本国を創った神様とされる、大国主大神（おおくにぬしの-おおかみ）です。
マレーシア講社は、サウジャナビラコンドミニアム内にあり、友人の家に行くかのように、入り口のガードハウスで訪問先を伝え、入場します。
コンドミニアム入り口横でお詣りをしました。古いお札を納める返納箱もあり、普通に神社に行く感覚をマレーシアで体験できるのは嬉しかったです。多くの日本人が来ていました。

CNY Pop Up Store Opening High Tea Private Event

“ The Woman Of Yee”. It Founded by Cute Malaysian designer: Tan Wan Yee from JB.
She has won design awards in Italy and China, and her creations are mainly elegant and cute designs that bring out the cuteness of women. Tan Wan Yee, who splits her time between JB and KL, not only designs seasonal collections, but also visits her customers' homes to create one-of-a-kind, bespoke designs.
She will be opening a Pop Up store on the 2nd floor of ISETAN in KLCC from 12/30 to 1/2, and I was invited to a private event the day before.
We had high tea with Chinese tea, traditional sweets and gelato, manicure service and traditional candy demonstration. It was a fun event.
The CNY collection of batik fabrics is cute, with both shorts and skirts. The feather trimimg are removable. This collection is available for pre-order and comes in a variety of sizes.
They also have the Raya collection at the pop-up store.
These collection take pre-order. There are many size varieties.

中国茶と伝統的なお菓子、ジェラートなどのハイティーをいただき、マニキュアサービスや伝統的な飴の実演も。楽しいイベントでした。バティック生地のCNYコレクションは、ショートパンツとスカートの両方がありキュート。羽は取り外しできるようになっています。このコレクションは予約販売中で、サイズバリエーションも豊富です。
ポップアップストアではラヤコレクションも置いているそう。

I attended a Christmas party by the Majestic Hotel's spa and fashion brand pink jambu.
Present and live music, delicious food and cocktails. Gorgeous guests dressed in dress code red and white. Lovely shoulder massage and manicure experience in each room of the building with classic retro cloisters. The dignified and high quality atmosphere is very nice and different from everyday life.
They use all natural materials for their massages.
I feel that the Majestic Spa membership, which I learned about for the first time, is a very good deal. Men, this is the best gift for your girlfriend or wife, and the price of RM3000 is just right. Check out the photos for the contents!

I attended the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel's Christmas and New Year Media Preview.
It was held in a private party style at the Imperial Suite, where we enjoyed a Christmas buffet, take-aways, and a Christmas menu of the Chinese restaurant.
The staycation plan "Merrycation" is very special and extremely good value for money, from RM490++ per room (for two people) with RM188 dinner buffet and breakfast buffet is unbeatable.
The Chinese restaurant, Celestial Court, also offers a Christmas menu, and I was surprised at how delicious the abalone rice and dim sum were!
I heard the Chinese chef continue to work for 25 years here!!
I want to come back again for dinner.

プレジデンシャルスイートでプライベートパーティー形式で行われ、クリスマスビュッフェやテイクアウェイ、チャイニーズレストランでのクリスマスメニューなどを楽しみました。
ステイケーションプラン「Marrycation」は特別感もあるし、ものすごくお得でおすすめ。RM188のディナービュッフェと朝食ビュッフェがついて、1室2名でRM490++とおうのは破格。
また、チャイニーズレストランCelestial Courtではクリスマスメニューも提供しているのですが、鮑のおこわや点心など、ものすごくおいしくて驚きました。聞けば創業以来25年間、同じシェフだとのこと！
あらためて食事に来たい。

Holiday season coming!
This year's Christmas buffet at the Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel is even more spectacular.
The all-you-can-eat snow crab, slipper lobster, and raw oysters for less than RM200 is quite reasonable. The snow crab was also well stuffed.
There are many glamorous menu items such as beef Wellington, whole roasted salmon, lamb, roast chicken, macaron tower, etc.
What I liked was the attention paid to even the most humble menu items. It is wonderful that there are so many varieties of each about pasta, Mexican nachos dips, sauces for meats, butter cakes, and so on.
In the dessert corner, you can feel the pastry staff's desire to please their customers and their "fun at work" atmosphere, which makes it enjoyable as well.
Reservations are essential as it is always crowded.

ルネッサンスジョホールバルホテルの今年のクリスマスビュッフェはまた一段と豪華。
ズワイガニ、スリッパロブスター、生牡蠣が食べ放題でRM200未満というのはかなりリーズナブル。ズワイガニもしっかり身が詰まっていました。
ビーフウェリントンやサーモン丸焼き、ラムやローストチキン、マカロンタワーなどの華やかなメニューもたくさんありますが、私が良いなと思ったのは、地味なメニューにも心配りされているところ。パスタやメキシカンナチョスのディップ、お肉にかけるソース類、バターケーキなどについて、それぞれの種類がたくさんあるのが素晴らしい。
デザートコーナーではパティシエスタッフの「お客に喜んで欲しい」という気持ちと「仕事に楽しく取り組んでいる」雰囲気を感じて、こちらも楽しい気分になります。
常に混むので予約必須。

A classic luxury hotel as beautiful as a museum. Opened in 2008, the St. Regis Singapore is one of more than 60 St. Regis hotels worldwide, which began in New York in 1904 (the founder passed away in the sinking of the Titanic).
All rooms have butler service.
As the hotel's philosophy states, "Delivering memorable experiences for families is a sophisticated way of life," I felt that they respected my 12-year-old son as if he were an adult, and the hospitality was one of the finest I have ever experienced at any hotel I have stayed at.
We stayed in a penthouse king room, which was not only gorgeous and uplifting, but also calm and relaxing. The staff was wonderful, including Ms.Syikin, the guest relations manager, who listened to our requests before we told her. We had a memorable birthday.
Breakfast is a main dish order style. The special Bak Kut Teh and pretzel croissant were very tasty. Get there early before it gets crowded.
Art tours are available upon request and I definitely recommend it.

「ファミリーの思い出に残る体験を届けるのが洗練された生き方」という理念のとおり、12歳の息子を1人の大人のように尊重してくれている感じがあり、これまで宿泊したホテルの中でも、最も素晴らしいホスピタリティを感じました。
ペントハウスキングルームに滞在しましたが、ゴージャスで気分が高まるだけでなく、落ち着いてリラックスできる雰囲気。こちらから伝える前に要望を聞いてくれるゲストリレーションマネージャーのSyikin さんをはじめ、素晴らしいスタッフの方々。思い出に残るバースデーを過ごさせていただきました。
朝食はメインディッシュをオーダーする形式。特製バクテーとプレッツェルクロワッサンがとてもおいしかったです。混む前に早めの時間に行きましょう。
アートツアーは要望に応じて開催してくれるので、絶対オススメ。

Fried Rice speciality restaurant at Eco Botanic.
The casual and unique design of the restaurant's storefront makes you wonder if it is a fast food kind of place, but it is not. You can enjoy authentic and tasty fried rice that is properly homemade.
From orthodox Chinese to Malaysian flavors and fusions such as truffle flavor, you can enjoy hundreds of different tastes with basic seasonings and toppings.
Fried rice and noodles start at RM7.9. You can add prawns, tobiko, or any other toppings you like.
There are also a variety of side dishes such as fried chicken and dumplings. The packaging is cute too. Orders for Grab delivery are also coming in incessantly.

カジュアルでユニークなデザインの店構えなので、ファーストフードのような感じなのかと思ったら、そうではなく。きちんと手作りの本格的でおいしい炒飯をいただけます。
正統派中華からマレーシアの味、トリュフ味などのヒュージョンもあり、基本の味付けとトッピングで何百通りもの好みの味が楽しめます。
炒飯も麺もRM7.9から。海老やとびっこを入れたり、トッピングをプラスしたり、自由自在。
サイドメニューも唐揚げや餃子など、充実しています。パッケージもキュート。グラブデリバリーのオーダーもひっきりなしに来ています。
