メニューの考案から材料の調達、調理を考えると、シェフのご苦労は相当なもの。
マレーシア料理を中心に、西洋料理や中東の料理、インド、中華、ライブコーナー、お刺身、などいろいろあって、どれからいただくか迷います。
ローストしたお肉やサーモン、炭火焼きのシーフードなど、シンプルに焼いた料理も多いのが嬉しい。例年ものすごく人気なので、予約はお早めに。

Rooms are showing their age. But The hot water supply for showers and baths is also fine.

世界一のホテルに宿泊しました！
リゾートワールドゲンティンの中にあるホテル「ファーストワールドホテル」。
何が世界一かというと、部屋数が7351もある、世界で最も大きなホテル。ギネスブックにも記録されています。
3つの棟があり、部屋ナンバーは5桁！
チェックインカウンターは31もありました。
とにかく立地が便利。価格帯も予算に合わせていろいろ。
部屋は年季が入っていますが、シャワーとお風呂のお湯の温度やお湯の出は問題なく。
館内で一日中遊んだ後、すぐそのまま宿泊できるのは便利。
部屋によっては窓から雲海が見えるかも。

I attended the special IWDCW event “Maiden Voyage by Caorunn Gin 琴琴有约”.
It’s also celebrating of “Thirst Magazine” 10years anniversary! This drinks magazine’s founder Kim Choong is one of the very first person to contribute the cocktail bar scene.
The venue “Three x Co” is one of “Asia’s 50 Best Bars”.
We enjoyed 3kinds of Caorunn Gin and special cocktails with them.

Caorunn Gin の飲み比べと、これらを使用した、この夜限りの香り高い3種のカクテルをいただきました。

今年のダブルツリーのラマダンビュッフェは、品揃え豊富なだけでなく、特に食材のクオリティにこだわっています。ロブスターテルミドールや焼き牡蠣、ローストビーフ、丸ごとローストラム、巨大な海老料理などの豪華な食材が並ぶのはもちろんですが、とくに絶対食べるべき料理は、和牛のレンダン、ラクサジョホール、ビーフとナッツの入ったラマダン時期ならではのお粥。この3品は誰もが絶賛。一見見た目は普通ですが、食べてみると質の高さ、繊細さ、おいしさに目を見張ります。

マレー料理セットとビリヤニセット、ウェスタンセットがあり、どれもメインは鶏肉料理。1番人気はマレーセット。私はビリヤニセットがイチオシ。ウェスタンセットはバターライスもパスタもポテトもガーリックブレッドも入るので、育ち盛りの子にぴったり。

Traditional Peranakan Kaya pass down to new generation from great grandmother!
There are 2 kinds. Baba Kaya ( Pandan) and Nyonya Kaya ( Gula Melaka). RM11.9 each.
They are made without flour and it needs to cook slowly on fire to get that smoothness, thick creamy texture.
Just delicious with simple pure ingredients.
Natural colour and fragrant is wonderful.
The smooth and melty Kaya feels so good that it can be used not only in the usual bread but also as a dessert ingredient.
I tried it with cream cheese. Of Course, Kaya butter is delicious, but cream cheese goes well with it too. The boss recommends a combination with fresh mango. Great just to imagine !

市販のカヤジャムは、粉でとろみを加えてあるものがほとんど。これは粉を入れずじっくり煮詰めてとろみを出しているので、純粋に美味しいです。冷蔵庫で2ヶ月保存可。大量生産はできないので、事前予約を。

Super delicious Mango Log Cake!
I didn’t expect before eating. But it is Delicate, moist, and light roll cakes.
I decided to order soon. There are 2type of Log Cake. Mango and Chocolate. RM68/each.
Their Christmas set are very good quality. All dishes are handmade. Fresh ingredients are cooked to delicious dishes. Big volume is suitable for 8-9pax.
Western Set RM498 include Turkey.
I like this Japanese set RM428. Sushi, Salmon, Chicken Roulade, Rice or Pasta, Vegetables, Fried Chicken, Duck pocket, Pan seared Tuna. And Log Cake! All included!
They have a la cart Turkey RM358 and Beef Wellington RM268. But I recommend Family set. More worthwhile.

老舗のグランドパラゴンホテル。
現在一般にはクローズ中ですが、クリスマスとお正月用のスペシャルセットがデリバリーとテイクアウトで販売開始しました。
実際、期待していなかっただけに、マンゴーロールケーキの繊細さと軽さ、質の高さと美味しさに驚きました！生地が素晴らしい。おいしいクリームを使っていて、8-10人分の大きさ。
新しいパティシエが入ったとのことで、今後のこのホテルのケーキに期待です。
丸ごとターキーのセットや、ジャパニーズヒュージョンセットは、ボリュームタップリで、全部手作りで丁寧に作られていて、価格に対して価値があると思いました。シンプルで素材を活かした味付けが多くて満足。焼きサーモンの切り身などもしっかりしています。予約は1週間前までに。12月中ならいつでも受け取れます。

At last we can enjoy special burgers of TTB and Aromatic Coffee of JWC together !
New menu “Gojira Spicy Chicken burger” RM16+ add chicken RM10+ fries RM3.
is so yummy. Every Malaysian will like this Hot&Spicy sauce taste.
Don’t forget to order Creamy tartar sauce’s baby Nanban Chicken Burger RM7.
For kids, it’s good size. For adult, can eat 2-3 deferent taste.

前回は期間限定営業のみでしたが、JWCとのコラボが実現し、いつでもいただけるようになりました。
工場地帯にあるオシャレなカフェ、JWC factory30の店内でオーダーできます。
美味しいコーヒーとハンバーガーの組み合わせはなかなかいい感じ。パティやチキンを追加して、すごいボリュームのバーガーを楽しむもよし、小腹が空いてるなら、ベビーサイズのバーガーをちょっとだけいただくのもよし。

This cafe is very particular about the taste of coffee and homemade desserts.
Spinach roll cake RM7.8. Not too sweet, good taste. I recommend cold original juice "80 recipi" RM10.8(350ml×2). So nice !
Iced drip coffee's dripping time is 10 hours!
