“santai-santai" is a Malay word meaning a relaxed activity or state of being. Led by Executive Chef Rudy Junaidie, the team encourages guests to unwind and reconnect with loved ones with exquisite cuisine.
I really enjoyed the unusual dishes such as Gulai Asam Rong, a Perak dish that even my Malay friends encountered for the first time, and whole roasted lamb seasoned with cumin and other spices from Xinjiang.

The 8th day of Chinese New Year is said to be the day of most wealth and prosperity.
We attended the festive Chinese New Year event (Acrobatic Lion Dance, Yee Sang, Buffet Lunch) at the 5-star Hotel & Residence: The Face Style, located in the Golden Triangle of KL.
We saw the longest firecrackers ever, and the lion dance, which lasted over 90 minutes, seemed to promise prosperity to come.

My favorite hot pot restaurant, Sichuan Kitchen, is the only Sichuan hot pot restaurant in a Malaysian hotel restaurant.
Authentic flavors by Sichuan-born chef Justin Song, quality ingredients, and a serene setting with a twin tower view make this the perfect place for a better New Year's meal.
Choose from a set menu featuring a variety of delicacies such as slipper lobster, scallops, large deep-sea prawn and Sang Sui chicken, or an all-you-can-eat buffet menu. The homemade shrimp balls, squid balls, and beef balls also have a great texture and outstanding taste.

Chinese New Year is a time when families gather around the table for a feast, but I hear that having a buffet is becoming more and more popular every year.
At Le Meridien KL, New Year's Eve is already fully booked. Award-winning Executive Chef Antoine Rodriguez and his team mix traditional Chinese and international dishes. There is also an Yee Sang, which is a fun way to create your own gorgeous Yee Sang topped with salmon, raw oysters, and other toppings. The desserts are festive and full of celebration.
