Koper is the only city in Slovenia with a trade port.
In the Middle Ages, it was a territory of the Venetian Republic. Legend has it that Koper originated from a ship that capsized in a battle with Medusa, a monster from Greek mythology.
This is my first visit to Slovenia. I was looking forward to coming here the most on this trip.
It’s a small and beautiful port town. The Koper State Museum was well worth a visit and occupied by only us.
コペルはスロベニア唯一の貿易港がある街。中世にはヴェネツィア共和国の領土だった。
ギリシャ神話の怪物、メデューサとの戦いで転覆した船がコペルの起源という伝説があるそう。
はじめて訪れたスロベニア。今回の旅では、ここに来るのが1番の楽しみだった。小さくて美しい港町。コペル州立の博物館は見応えたっぷりで貸切状態だった。

We landed in Rijeka, a port town in northern Croatia.
For me, it was the first time to hear of or come to this small port town. Surprisingly, however, there were many tourists. I heard that many of them were Italians and Germans.
There was a nice and lively central market. We passed through a 330-meter tunnel from the World War II era.
クロアチア北部にある港町、Rijeka (リエカ)に着岸。
私にとっては、聞くのも来るのもはじめての小さな港街。だけど意外なことに観光客がたくさんいた。イタリア人とドイツ人の観光客が多いそう。
活気がある素敵な中央市場があった。第二次世界大戦時代の330mのトンネルを通った。

Just before 9:00 a.m., the ship arrived at Zadar, a port town in the Dalmatian region of Croatia on the Adriatic Sea.
Zadar was ranked first in the "European Best Destinations" in 2016 and is said to have the best sunset in the world.
We strolled around the old town. There are many ruins associated with the Roman Empire. The contrast of colors in the city is beautiful.
朝9時前、船はアドリア海に面したクロアチアのダルマチア地域にある港町 、Zadar (ザダル)に着岸。
ここは2016年の「European Best Destinations （ヨーロッパのベスト観光先）」で、1位に選ばれ、世界一の夕日が見られる場所とも言われる。
旧市街を散策した。ローマ帝国にちなんだ遺跡がたくさん。色のコントラストが美しい街。

A stream of water created by the ocean waves plays music as compressed air is pushed through tubes installed under a staircase made of giant marble.
The picture shows only an ordinary sea. The fantastic sound can be heard only when you visit the site. The scenes that you cannot understand unless you go there are the best part of the trip.
海の波によって生み出される水の流れが、巨大な大理石で作られた階段の下に設置した管の中を通ることで圧縮された空気が押し出されて音楽を奏でる。
写真で見ても普通の海しか見えない。現地に行くとはじめて聴こえる幻想的なサウンド。行かないとわからない情景は旅の醍醐味。
