Open-fire restaurants are all the rage and popular in Kuala Lumpur now, but the chef who owns Temper is a chef who was already working with open-fire cooking before it became a trend. The ingredients are used to their best advantage while the spices and sauces are creative and sophisticated. It is wonderful to enjoy a variety of flavors, from simple dishes such as ponzu sauce to rich dishes of lamb, duck or bone marrow, where you can enjoy the sweetness of the fat. Each dish is generous in volume, so it is best to enjoy a variety of dishes easily while sharing. New additions such as gorgeous Boston lobster, aged duck roast, grilled white corn and seafood bisque make the menu even more appealing. This is the only restaurant in a hotel in Malaysia that specializes in hot pot. No pork and Muslim friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed, the hospitality is excellent, and the hot pot is of high quality and very tasty. We ordered the a la carte menu for dinner. The homemade soup includes mala, abalone, truffle mushroom, tomato, and fish maw coconut, and I ordered the abalone and truffle mushroom. The soup is so good that you will want to come here for the soup. The fish and beef ingredients are also of high quality. I also like the cold dish of beef tongue with mala sauce. There is a lunch set on weekdays and a hot pot buffet is offered on weekends. You buy them freshly fried, so they are very crunchy and juicy, with the sweetness of onions and flavour of spices. It was a short walk from the hotel where we were staying, so we went two days in a row and stood in line! We waited in line for about 20 minutes, but since we watched the process of making them, we never got bored. It would thrive even if sold in Japan.
