Thistle Johor Bahru, a resort hotel in town, conveniently located between JB Town and Danga Bay. I have been coming to the restaurant for many years, but this was my first time staying there.
All rooms have a bathtub. The deluxe seaview king room I stayed in was spacious, bright with large windows, and the Hollywood king bed was oversized, the size of two queens joined together.
I thought the light blue walls and red sofas were an interesting color scheme that gave it a resort feel.
Although old, the staff was pleasant and comfortable, and the rates starting in the low RM200s seemed like a good value. The pool has a resort feel to it, which is unusual for a hotel in the city.
I later read a lot of reviews about the terrible conditions, but my room was fine and clean.
They are renovating all the rooms this year over time. I am sure it will be a regular modern hotel interior, so if you want to get a feel for the era, this is the year to stay!

JBタウンとダンガベイの中間、便利な立地にある街の中のリゾートホテル、Thistle Johor Bahru。長年レストランには来ていましたが、宿泊するのは初めてでした。
全室バスタブ付き。宿泊したデラックスシービューキングルームは、広くて、窓が大きく明るく、ハリウッドキングベッドはクイーンを2つ繋げた大きさの特大サイズ。
水色の壁と赤いソファがリゾート感を出しているのか面白い色づかいだと思いました。
古さはあるものの、スタッフも感じがよく快適で、RM200代前半からの料金設定はお得に感じました。プールも街中のホテルにしては珍しく、リゾート感があるプールです。あとからレビューを見ると、ひどい状況がいろいろ書かれていましたが、私の部屋は問題なく清潔でした。
今年、時間をかけて全室改装するそうです。きっと普通のモダンなホテルの内装になると思うので、時代を感じたいなら今年の宿泊がチャンス！

I met Chef John Chang 4 years ago. At the time, he had 10 years of experience as a Japanese chef. I was amazed by the beauty of his manners, his overwhelming skill and sense of style, and his talent as a 20’s young chef who even makes his own Japanese Wagashi. Every time I have had the pleasure of meeting Chef John Chang, his food has always exceeded my expectations.
4 years later, he opened his own restaurant as the owner-chef. I immediately visited him for dinner.
The out-of-the-ordinary exterior. The tasteful interior and tableware. At Taman Melody, you enjoy appetizers, main courses, and desserts in 3 different rooms. The simple dishes are all about the delicious taste of the ingredients. This memorable dinner experience is the first concept of its kind in Malaysia. Original ideas because he is so talented. Whether it is the marriage of drinks, the explanation about the dishes, the conversation with the staff, or the menu card with your name on it. It is a great way to further enhance the excellence of the cuisine. Please experience it for yourself. I can't possibly write it all down here.

This homey cafe is run by two couples. Take off your shoes and go up to find a bright, simple, and homey space.
The French-style cakes here are so sophisticated and delicious that they are the best in JB. New items are introduced every month. The food is not too sweet and is light and tasty.
Light meals have recently been added to the menu. The sourdough series includes avocado and bacon, salmon and Big Breakfast. Desserts such as ice cream on a large cookie and French toast are also popular. The variety of drinks has also increased.
Pet lovers will be happy to know that they can bring their small pets indoors. On weekends, a toy poodle greets you.

2組のカップルが運営しているアットホームなカフェ。靴を脱いで上がると、明るくてシンプルで家のようにくつろげる空間があります。
ここのフレンチスタイルのケーキは、JBで1番といって良いくらい洗練されていて美味しい。毎月新作が登場します。甘すぎず軽くいただけるおいしさ。
最近、軽食もメニューに加わりました。サワードゥーのシリーズは、アボカドとベーコン、サーモンとビッグブレックファストの4種。大きなクッキーにアイスクリームが載ったデザートやフレンチトーストも人気。ドリンクの種類も増えました。
室内で飼えるペットとの同伴もOKというのは、ペット好きの方々にとって嬉しいポイント。週末にはトイプードルが出迎えてくれます。

A quiet house cafe with an antique Chinese atmosphere.
Although it is located in an easily recognizable location on a main street in Sentosa, once you pass through the gate, you will feel a sense of quiet and relaxing time passing by.
The menu is a Chinese fusion style of Western breakfast café.
Breakfast menu with rice balls with chicken floss is a nice touch. The truffle mushroom soup served with Chinese roti is very rich and highly recommended.
The upper floor is a pastry school, and the owner is a property Patissier instructor. The cakes and other items she makes are truly delicious. The tiramisu is a popular item that is sure to sell out.

セントーサの大通り沿い、わかりやすい場所にありながらも、門をくぐると静寂でゆったりと時間が流れている感覚になります。
メニューは、洋風のブレックファーストカフェの中国ヒュージョンスタイル。
チキンフロス入りのおにぎりの入ったブレックファーストメニューがいい感じ。中華ロティの添えられたトリュフマッシュルームスープはとても濃くておすすめ。

Newly opened restaurant with great Arabic and Turkish food!
It is in the new shop lot area called Austin Crest near Setia Indah.
The food is authentic, big portions, and sophisticated, prepared by a chef from Syria. The breads and other items are homemade, imported from flour.
I especially liked the appetizers and the tender lamb mandi rice, which was enhanced by the balance of spices and aromas.
The dessert: Kunafa is the best I have ever had! The crispy kadaif is filled with melted cheese. Don't forget to order it! The Arabic coffee was also an aromatic one.

シリア出身のシェフがこだわって作る料理は、本格的でビッグボリューム、そして洗練された味。パンなども粉から取り寄せた自家製です。
スパイスのバランスや香りが引き立てられた前菜や柔らかなラムのマンディライスがとくに気に入りました。
デザートのクナーファはこれまで食べたクナーファの中でベスト！サクサクのカダイフの中はチーズがとろり。ぜひオーダーを忘れずに。アラビックコーヒーも香り高い一品でした。

Most beautiful Nasi Lemak ever!
Plenty of volume.
The homemade lemongrass drink was refreshing and very tasty!
Lots of plants in the spacious and brightly lit restaurant. You can also buy plants and pots you like, and there is an event space, making it a very nice cafe-restaurant.
The name of the restaurant, Nenek, means Grandma. The menu is meant to give you a warm nostalgic feeling as if you were at grandma's house, and the menu is a mix of nostalgic Malay dishes with a modern twist.
Located near Glass Temple in JB Town. If you go around the pink building, you will find the entrance and a large parking space in the back.
The hospitality is excellent and I have a feeling it will become a popular spot.

ボリュームたっぷり。
自家製レモングラスドリンクも爽やかでとてもおいしかった！
広大で明るい店内にはたくさんの植物。気に入った植物や鉢を購入することもでき、イベントスペースもあって、とても素敵なカフェレストランです。
店名のNenekは「おばあちゃん」の愛称。おばあちゃんの家に来たような暖かい懐かしい気持ちになってほしいという意味が込められ、メニューは懐かしのマレー料理にモダンなツイストが散りばめられています。
場所はJBタウンのグラステンプルの近く。ピンクの建物をまわり込むと、裏に入り口と広い駐車スペースがあります。
ホスピタリティも素晴らしく、人気スポットになりそうな予感。
