Pullman KLCC Hotel is hosting "Peranakan On Plate," a special dinner buffet featuring traditional Malaysian "Baba Nyonya" cuisine.
A fusion of Chinese and Malay cultures, the home-style taste passed down from generation to generation is recreated in the recipes of Luan Neo, a Malacca-born culinary expert and member of the Peranakan Association.
The hearty Ayam Pongteh, made from a traditional recipe, is served restaurant style with a side of mantou. Chicken Lobak and Nyonya Curry Laksa are heartwarming and delicious. I saw for the first time how to make pai teh, which is handmade from the dough.
The mango cake and mango pancake desserts are outstanding. There were also raw oysters and sushi.
The buffet is a great way to enjoy a little bit of many kinds of Baba Nyonya dishes.

These years, Flame Grill Concept restaurant is trending in Malaysia. But since many years ago, Firepitz was existing.
Gordon Ramsay’s Restaurant’s Former Chef: JiaJiun and friends opened this restaurant by DIY.
Now, thanks to the team's efforts, the restaurant has been renovated with a more sophisticated interior, while maintaining the excellence of the food, and the menu and wines have been enhanced. And the attention to ingredients has increased.
The restaurant is now highly reputed as "the place to go for a truly delicious steak," where you can always enjoy the finest quality meat grilled to perfection.
Every time you visit, you will discover something new, and you will be treated to savory dishes that make the most of the deliciousness of the ingredients.
The style of sharing is also good. The hospitality is also excellent.

蚪れるたびに新たな発芋があり、銙ばしく食材の玠材のおいしさを最倧限に生かした料理をいただけたす。数人でシェアしおいただくスタむルもグッド。そしおホスピタリティも玠晎らしいお店。

With a new menu, Sunday Morning in JB Town is a Japanese Kissaten (coffee shop) created by Taku and his friends, inspired by their life in Shimokitazawa.
Three years have passed since its opening, and both the store's atmosphere and menu have become even more appealing.
The place is simple but full of taste and attention to detail. With its particular coffee and delicious food, this is a cafe you want to keep coming back to.
The recently renewed food menu has a new lineup of chicken cutlets and plenty of new charm. From my point of view as a Japanese, they all have a nostalgic and gentle taste. The salmon and soboro bento and Mentaiko udon are deeply delicious and have a warmth that makes you want to come back again.
The hand-drip coffee, which is made with the utmost care, is delicious right down to the last sip, even when served iced, as the flavor is not diluted by the ice. Puddings and simple cakes are also a welcome relief from everyday life.
Owner and photographer Taku's personality and sense of beauty are blended throughout the store, and even the hardness of the handmade chairs is somehow comforting, creating a quiet and gentle time at this cafe.

With a new menu, Sunday Morning in JB Town is a Japanese Kissaten (coffee shop) created by Taku and his friends, inspired by their life in Shimokitazawa.
Three years have passed since its opening, and both the store's atmosphere and menu have become even more appealing.
The place is simple but full of taste and attention to detail. With its particular coffee and delicious food, this is a cafe you want to keep coming back to.
The recently renewed food menu has a new lineup of chicken cutlets and plenty of new charm. From my point of view as a Japanese, they all have a nostalgic and gentle taste. The salmon and soboro bento and Mentaiko udon are deeply delicious and have a warmth that makes you want to come back again.
The hand-drip coffee, which is made with the utmost care, is delicious right down to the last sip, even when served iced, as the flavor is not diluted by the ice. Puddings and simple cakes are also a welcome relief from everyday life.
Owner and photographer Taku's personality and sense of beauty are blended throughout the store, and even the hardness of the handmade chairs is somehow comforting, creating a quiet and gentle time at this cafe.

We had an omakase kaiseki meal prepared by Master Chef Takizawa at ZIPANGU by Nadaman, a Japanese restaurant in Shangri-La Hotel KL.
Every time I look back at the photos, I sigh. Words cannot fully express how wonderful this course was. The world of Japanese cuisine is a world of delicacy and harmony. The beauty, the way it is cut, the balance of flavors and aromas, the ingredients and presentation that reflect the season, all combine to create a space where one can feel the "Japanese Spring" here in Malaysia.
Chef Takizawa has honed his skills for 30 years at Nadaman, a renowned restaurant established in 1830 and considered the pinnacle of Japanese cuisine.
For courses priced at RM1,000 or more, he offers authentic omakase, a menu devised just for that day's guests. He says that many customers leave with a reservation for the next time.
Reservations should be made at least one week in advance. Tell them your budget and wishes, and Chef Takizawa will put together a course just for you.
This time, the course was priced at RM1,000, which was more than worth the price and I would like to visit again every season.

Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur's popular "Dine With Chef 2025" event will be held this May, bringing together the best chefs from Kuala Lumpur's Hyatt hotels as well as Poland, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia for a month-long event. City Centre Kuala Lumpur, as well as Park Hyatt and Hyatt Regency, which will open this year.
This year's theme is "Newstalgia: Rebuilding Memories”. A gastronomic journey of the senses, with new surprises and refinements added to memorable flavors. Each dish will tell its own story as told by the chefs.
I attended the media preview of the event. Park Hyatt Chef Holger’s Calamansi chocolate cake was an impressive 5 meters long!

Probably Everyone in Japan knows the No. 1 brand of shochu, "Iichiko."
Ever since I was a child, my father usually drank it and it was a common drink in our house.
In 1979, Sanwa Shuzui of Oita Prefecture created Iichiko, a barley shochu made from 100% barley malt, with an aromatic and refreshing taste that revolutionized the image of shochu and spread its fans throughout Japan.
The shochu master class and tasting was held at Ikiya2.0 by Sanwa Shuzui, the manufacturer, and I attended.
I was surprised to see such a large variety of iichiko.
Among them, iichiko Saiten is a 43% alcohol shochu developed for cocktails. It was only sold overseas, but this year it is also available in Japan. The powerful flavor of shochu can be blended with soda water and other ingredients to create a new taste in cocktails. It is also an excellent combination with sweet and sour fruits.
Tumugi is also a shochu version of gin, so to speak, and is a new spirit "Wa-Pritz. It is brewed with yuzu, citrus and mint from all over Japan.
When you make a gin and tonic with it, the shochu flavor is added to make it interesting.

The story of innovative Japanese cuisine (Peruvian Japanese Nikkei cuisine) that began in 1994 as Nobu New York with the meeting of Robert De Niro and Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa was refined at Nobu Tokyo in 2001 and fused with Asian charm at Nobu Kuala Lumpur in 2014. The Kuala Lumpur branch celebrates its 10th anniversary.
To celebrate, guests can enjoy omakase courses, sake pairings, and seven Nobu signature cocktails from around the world through October. Executive Chef Philippe Leon's cuisine is a feast for the senses, including four types of sashimi with a different sake pairing for each slice and three iconic gindara dishes. The staff's knowledge of the menu was the best anywhere.
Of the seven signature cocktails from around the world, I particularly enjoyed the Spicy Vibe (Manila), accented with green chili and shichimi chili, and the refreshing Yuzu and Agave Highball (Hong Kong).

ロバヌト・デ・ニヌロず束久信幞シェフの出䌚いから Nobu New Yorkずしお1994幎に始たった革新的な和食(ペルヌゞャパニヌズニッケむ料理)の物語は、2001幎にNobu Tokyoで掗緎され、2014幎にNobu Kuala Lumpurでアゞアの魅力ず融合。クアラルンプヌル店は10呚幎を迎えたした。
これを蚘念しお、10月たで、おたかせコヌスずお酒のペアリング、䞖界のNobuのシグネむチャヌカクテル7皮をいただけたす。゚グれクティブシェフ: Philip Leong による料理は、1切れごずに異なったお酒をペアリングする4皮のお刺身や、アむコニックなギンダラ料理3皮など、五感を存分に楜したせおくれる味わい揃い。KLCC parkの眺望ずさすがのプレれンテヌション、そしお䜕よりも、スタッフのメニュヌぞの知識がどこよりも玠晎らしかったです。Aron(マネヌゞャヌ)ずFeroが教えおくれたNobuず各囜のシグネむチャヌカクテルのストヌリヌは、Nobuでの矎食䜓隓をより䞀局豊かにしおくれたした。
䞖界のNobuのシグネむチャヌカクテル7皮の䞭で、私がずくに気に入ったのは、グリヌンチリず䞃味唐蟛子がアクセントのSpicy Vibe (マニラ)、そしおさっぱりずした柚子ずアガベのハむボヌル(銙枯)です。
