ORITO, a French-style bakery-café with three branches in TTD, Sri Hartamas, and ISETAN KLCC, is popular for its handmade breads and choux made with carefully selected ingredients and attention to technique.
Its name is derived from the Spanish words "oro" (golden) and "-ito" (little ones), meaning "little golden treats”. Lovely!
We visited the TTDI for brunch.
Simple and sophisticated decor of wood and stainless steel.
The popular pistachio chocolate Suisse and the new mixed berry flan are very tasty with buttery, flaky dough. The chocolate caramel choux has a nice bitter chocolate flavor. The homemade pesto pasta is rich and gently with plenty of mushrooms.
A great place to take a break.
The Pop Up Shop will be open until 8 June for the Salon Du Pain event at Isetan Lot 10.

その名前はスペイン語の「oro（黄金）」と「-ito（小さな）」に由来し、「小さな黄金のごちそう」を意味するそう。素敵！
ブランチに、TTDI店に伺いました。
木とステンレスのシンプルで洗練された内装。
人気のピスタチオチョコデニッシュ、新作のミックスベリーフランはバターたっぷりでフレーキーな生地がとても美味しい。チョコキャラメルシューはビターなチョコレートがいい感じ。自家製ペストパスタはたっぷりのマッシュルームが入り濃厚で優しい味。一息つくのに素敵なカフェ。6/8まで伊勢丹Lot 10 のSalon Du PainのイベントでPop Up Shopも営業しています。

Stayed at AC Hotel Ipoh, which just opened this January. This is the first and only Marriott-affiliated hotel in Ipoh.
I had been having trouble finding a hotel in Ipoh that I wanted to repeat. I am glad this hotel opened.
There are 4 AC Hotels in Malaysia with the concept of Italian Spanish minimalist, and I have stayed in KL and Penang many times. My impression is that they are comfortable, simple business hotels.
The AC Hotel in Ipoh, however, has kept the same concept, but is much more luxurious and has amazing facilities: 60 rooms on one floor, which is just huge. There is a pickleball court, karaoke room, game room, co-working space, and even a penthouse with a private pool. There is also a restaurant, Luk Yu Tea House (Cantonese restaurant) as well as a lounge serving Spanish tapas. It is spacious, elegant, and a great place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal for about RM40-100 per person. The staff are all very friendly and hospitable, calling out to you from afar. I will definitely stay here again when I come to Ipoh.
It's a bit too comfortable for me and I don't want to go out.

イタリアンスパニッシュのミニマリストがコンセプトのACホテルは、マレーシアに4軒あり、KLとペナンには何度も宿泊しています。心地よいシンプルなビジネスホテルという印象。
ですがここイポーのAC ホテルはコンセプトはそのままに、もっと豪華で施設の充実度がすごい。1フロアに60部屋もあってとにかく巨大。ピックルボールコート、カラオケルーム、ゲームルーム、コワーキングスペース、そしてプライベートプール付きのペントハウスまで。レストランも、スパニッシュタパスを提供するラウンジの他、Luk Yu Tea House (広東料理レストラン)もあります。広くて上品で、1人前RM40-100ほどでゆったりと美味しい食事が楽しめるのも嬉しい。スタッフは皆、遠くからでも優しく声をかけてくれて、ホスピタリティを感じます。イポーに来たら必ずまたここに泊まるでしょう。快適すぎて、外に出かけたくなくなるのがちょっと難点。

The concept of AC Hotel is Italian-Spanish minimalist. So the AC lounge serves Spanish tapas. The signature dish is lamb prosciutto. All AC hotels in Malaysia offer almost the same menu, so I have had a variety of them, but my son and I both like the taste here. Today, the mango and chicken bruschetta and lasagna were especially good, and The ACGT ( AC's special gin and tonic) is another favorite. The iced cappuccino, a delicious balance of deep roasted coffee and mild milk, was taken away to my room and enjoyed slowly. While other AC hotel lounges are quite compact, Ipoh is spacious and has plenty of comfortable seating, allowing you to have pasta or paella by yourself, share a variety of dishes with friends, or just enjoy drinks and tapas.

ACホテルはイタリアンスパニッシュのミニマリストがコンセプト。なのでACラウンジではスパニッシュタパスがいただけます。シグネイチャーはラムのプロシュート。マレーシア国内のACホテル全てでほぼ同じメニューを提供しているので、いろいろ食べたことがあるのですが、私も息子もここの味が結構好き。今日は、マンゴーとチキンのブルスケッタとラザニアが特に美味しかったです。The ACGT ( AC特製ジントニック)も大好きな味。深煎りコーヒーとまろやかなミルクとのバランスがおいしいアイスカプチーノは部屋にテイクアウェイしてゆっくり楽しみました。他のACホテルのラウンジはかなりコンパクトなスペースですが、イポーは広くてゆったり落ち着ける席がたくさんあります。1人でパスタやパエリアをいただくことも、仲間といろいろなメニューをシェアすることも、お酒とタパスだけを楽しむこともできるのが良い。

How Fun ! Lets Kitchen Party!
I was able to get a reservation at Picaro, a popular and difficult-to-reserve restaurant.
This is a Spanish restaurant where you have a course meal at the counter in an open kitchen. Enter through the old hotel entrance.
For food, choose between RM250 (regular and vegetarian course) or RM350 sharing course. Authentic, tasty, and generous portions. The duck pate and squid ink paella are especially excellent.
The chef dances, performs magic, peels and feeds us shrimp, and is very entertaining. Birthdays are also celebrated with everyone.
It's not often you get to experience something like this, so I'm convinced it's popular. It was a most enjoyable evening.

超楽しいパーティーナイト！
人気の予約困難店 Picaro。
ここはオープンキッチンのカウンターでコース料理をいただくスパニッシュレストラン。古いホテルの入り口から入店。
料理は、RM250(通常コースとベジタリアンコースの2種)かRM350のシェアリングコースを選ぶ。本格的でおいしく、たっぷりの量。鴨のパテとイカ墨のパエリアはとくに絶品。
大音量の中で、シェフがダンスしたりマジックしたりエビを剥いて食べさせてくれたり、エンターテイメント性抜群。RM99を支払うと、ベルを鳴らして約40席の全員にショットを振る舞えるシステムがあり、3時間の間に5回くらい全員で乾杯した。お誕生日もみんなでお祝いする。こんな体験はなかなかないので、人気に納得。最高に楽しい夜でした。

Istana Maimun (Palace) @ Medan, Indonesia

The palace of the Sultanate of Deli was built in 1892. It was built by Dutch architects and is the last palace in existence.
It is a unique palace consisting of 30 rooms combining elements of cultural heritage, Islamic and Indian architecture, and Spanish and Italian furniture and furnishings, but only the audience hall and dining room are open to the public. The king (the 14th) still lives here.
Perhaps it is a gathering place for locals, but there is a mobile amusement park in the yard, and garbage is scattered about. It is a pity that half the space in the royal palace is occupied by several souvenir shops, which reduces the beauty of the place. The live music at the entrance was nice.
We took a break for iced tea at an Indonesian restaurant just outside the palace.

1892年に建てられた、デリ王国の宮殿。オランダ人建築家によって建てられ、現存する最後のマレー宮殿だそう。
マレー文化遺産、イスラム建築、インド建築の要素と、スペインやイタリアの家具や調度品を組み合わせた30部屋からなるユニークな宮殿ですが、謁見の間とダイニングルームのみが一般公開されています。王様(14代目)が今もここに住んでいるそう。
地元の人が集まる場所なのか、庭には移動遊園地がありゴミも散乱。王宮内の半分のスペースはいくつかのお土産屋さんで占められていて、美しさが半減してるのが残念。入り口の生演奏は良かった。
宮殿を出たところのインドネシアレストランでアイスティーで休憩。

AC Hotel is located 15 minutes from Penang Airport. It is a 4-star hotel where many pilots and cabin attendants stay.
I stayed there for 5 nights this time and it was really comfortable.
The interior of the hotel is almost the same as AC Hotel KL. Simple and relaxing space. The gym is open 24 hours. The simple Spanish bar is small, but not only does it serve delicious tapas and pizzas, it also delivers them to your room. (All AC hotels in Malaysia offer the same menu.)
There is also a free laundry service for long-stay guests, and a 7-Eleven and coin-operated laundry just a minute's walk away.
It takes 30-40 minutes to drive to George Town, but Grab costs about RM20 each way, and there is no congestion in the area, so I was able to get a car without waiting every time.
The service was not spectacular but affordable and precise and very comfortable.
Marriott Bon Voy status members can also choose a meal voucher of 10US (RM43) per day as one of the benefits.

Spanish tapas restaurant opened 6 months ago on Petaling Street in the Chinatown area.
It has a nice, stylish and lively atmosphere with an open kitchen and mainly counter seating.
When we asked about popular menu items, they answered accurately and the service was well attentive.
The menu selection is extensive, ranging from the standard menu to more arranged dishes. Prices are on the higher side. I especially liked the beef tartare pintxos.

6ヶ月前にチャイナタウンエリアのペタリンストリートにオープンしたスペインタパスレストラン。
オープンのキッチンとカウンター席がメインで、おしゃれで活気がある良い雰囲気。
人気のメニューを伺うと的確に答えてくれて、サービスもよく気が利いていました。
メニューのセレクションは定番のメニューからアレンジされたものまで豊富。価格は高め。ビーフタルタルのピンチョスが特に気に入りました。

A lovely rooftop bar has opened above Les Bouchons, a steakhouse on the Tiga in Puteri Harbor! Go up quietly from the back entrance.
Enjoy drinks and delicious Spanish cuisine while watching the sunset or the night view. The bartender is a professional who once won a flair bartender (a bartender who entertains customers) competition in Penang.
The authentic tapas are very tasty and exciting. The menu is quite extensive, but some of the chef's favorites include octopus salad, shrimp ajillo, pan con tomate (tomato bruschetta) with prosciutto ham, and Iberico pork ribs etc.

A lovely rooftop bar has opened above Les Bouchons, a steakhouse on the Tiga in Puteri Harbor! Go up quietly from the back entrance.
Enjoy drinks and delicious Spanish cuisine while watching the sunset or the night view. The bartender is a professional who once won a flair bartender (a bartender who entertains customers) competition in Penang.
The authentic tapas are very tasty and exciting. The menu is quite extensive, but some of the chef's favorites include octopus salad, shrimp ajillo, pan con tomate (tomato bruschetta) with prosciutto ham, and Iberico pork ribs etc.

It is my friend's favorite restaurant and he made a reservation for us on a Saturday night.
Nice atmosphere with counter and outside seating.
The yakitori is large and can be ordered one stick at a time. There is a wide variety of alcohol drinks. Good food and not too expensive.

焼き鳥は大ぶりで、1本ずつオーダーできます。お酒の種類も豊富。おいしいし、お値段も高くなく、いいお店。
