Congratulations to the winners of the Dewar's Highball Challenge!
The Dewar's Highball challenge is held annually in five countries in the ASEAN region.
The challenge is to create two highball cocktails using Dewar's, a Scotch whisky founded in Scotland in 1846, and the winners are chosen by scoring their tastes and overall appeal.
Today, I attended the event where the Malaysian winner was announced.
The winner was Ms. Chang Shuen of Bar COLEY. She will receive a plane ticket to Japan, a guest shift experience at a Japanese bar, and a cash prize worth US$1,000.
The event was held at Burger & Lobster in KLCC, where guests enjoyed lobster rolls or burgers and Dewar's 15-year highballs.
Dewar's 15 Year is a blend of more than 40 different types of whiskey, mainly Aberfeldy, aged for more than 15 years. Its sweet, gorgeous aroma and smooth taste can be enjoyed straight or as a highball, and it is so delicious that I could drink it all the time.
In fact, for this year's Highball Challenge, I visited three bars as an undercover judge to score the highballs. It was an interesting and wonderful experience.

Tasting Notes:
Aroma: A good balance of Sherried spices, nutty elements and apple skin.
Palate: Oily walnut leading into fresh malt and sultanas. Chewy vanilla toffee.
Finish: More sweet dried fruit notes with touch of grassiness.

ASEAN地域5カ国で毎年実施されている「Dewar’s Highball challenge(デュワーズ ハイボール チャレンジ)」。
スコットランドで1846年に創業したスコッチウィスキーDewar’s を使用したハイボールカクテルを2種作り、その味わいや総合的な魅力を採点して優勝者を決めるというもの。
本日、マレーシアでの優勝者が発表されるイベントに出席しました。
優勝したのは、Bar COLEYのChang Shuenさん。日本行きの航空券と、日本のバーでのゲストシフトの経験、そしてUSドルで10000ドル相当の賞金が贈られます。
KLCCの「Burger & Lobster」でイベントが開催され、ロブスターとロールやバーガーなどとDewar’s15年のハイボールを楽しみました。
Dewar’s15年は、15年以上熟成されたアバフェルディを中心とした40種類以上の原酒をブレンドしたウィスキー。甘く華やかな香りとなめらかな味わいは、ストレートでもハイボールでも楽しめて、ずっと飲み続けてしまいそうなおいしさ。
実は今回のハイボールチャレンジ、私も覆面審査員として、3つのバーに伺って採点しました。興味深く素敵な経験でした。

The Japanese Seafood Fest started with a 60kg tuna cutting show by Chef Otsuka of Sushi Yoshi.
This interactive event is designed to foster new knowledge about fresh seafood imported directly from Japan, and to reward participants for tasting it by answering a simple quiz.
You can also enjoy a sushi roll making workshop, a yukata dressing session, and delicious sashimi all for free, how wonderful.
Food exports from Japan to Malaysia have more than tripled in the past five years. We hope that everyone in Malaysia will come to love and become familiar with Japanese food and culture even more.

CNY Pop Up Store Opening High Tea Private Event

“ The Woman Of Yee”. It Founded by Cute Malaysian designer: Tan Wan Yee from JB.
She has won design awards in Italy and China, and her creations are mainly elegant and cute designs that bring out the cuteness of women. Tan Wan Yee, who splits her time between JB and KL, not only designs seasonal collections, but also visits her customers' homes to create one-of-a-kind, bespoke designs.
She will be opening a Pop Up store on the 2nd floor of ISETAN in KLCC from 12/30 to 1/2, and I was invited to a private event the day before.
We had high tea with Chinese tea, traditional sweets and gelato, manicure service and traditional candy demonstration. It was a fun event.
The CNY collection of batik fabrics is cute, with both shorts and skirts. The feather trimimg are removable. This collection is available for pre-order and comes in a variety of sizes.
They also have the Raya collection at the pop-up store.
These collection take pre-order. There are many size varieties.

“The Woman of Yee” は、JB出身のキュートなマレーシアの女性デザイナー、タン・ワン・イー氏によるブランドです。イタリアや中国でデザインの賞も受賞している彼女の作品は、女性のかわいらしさを活かす、エレガントでキュートなデザインが中心。美しいバティックなどの生地を使用しています。JBとKLを行き来しているタン・ワン・イー氏は、季節ごとのコレクションをデザインするだけでなく、顧客の家に伺い、ビスポークで世界で1つだけのデザインの服も作っているそうです。
12/30から1/2まで、KLCCのISETAN2FでPop Up ショップを出店するとのことで、前日のプライベートイベントに招待いただきました。
中国茶と伝統的なお菓子、ジェラートなどのハイティーをいただき、マニキュアサービスや伝統的な飴の実演も。楽しいイベントでした。バティック生地のCNYコレクションは、ショートパンツとスカートの両方がありキュート。羽は取り外しできるようになっています。このコレクションは予約販売中で、サイズバリエーションも豊富です。

I attended a Christmas party by the Majestic Hotel's spa and fashion brand pink jambu.
Present and live music, delicious food and cocktails. Gorgeous guests dressed in dress code red and white. Lovely shoulder massage and manicure experience in each room of the building with classic retro cloisters. The dignified and high quality atmosphere is very nice and different from everyday life.
They use all natural materials for their massages.
I feel that the Majestic Spa membership, which I learned about for the first time, is a very good deal. Men, this is the best gift for your girlfriend or wife, and the price of RM3000 is just right. Check out the photos for the contents!

A nasi kandar restaurant that opened 6 months ago in Eco Palladium with a long line of customers.
Customers can order nasi kandar by finger pointing from over 30 different ingredients.
The spacious restaurant is packed with customers during lunch hours, and the upstairs seating area has a relaxed atmosphere and space for private events.
This style is rare.
In addition to the popular Bawang Ayam (onion chicken) and fried chicken, there is a wide variety of dishes such as fish roe and squid roe. The fish head curry was very tasty with a fruity sour taste. Lamb Shank is also popular. Daginkichap (beef stewed in soy sauce) has a familiar sweet and spicy taste.
If you are not sure which gravy to put on it, just tell the staff to mix it up and leave it to them.

Eco Palladium に半年前にオープンした、行列のできるナシカンダー店。
30種類以上の具材から、指差しオーダー。
広い店内はランチ時間にはお客でいっぱい。2階席は落ち着いた雰囲気で、プライベートイベントもできるスペースになっています。
こういうスタイルは珍しい。
定番人気のバワンアヤム(玉ねぎチキン)やフライドチキンの他、魚の卵やイカの卵などのメニューもありバラエティ豊か。フィッシュヘッドカリーはフルーティーな酸味がありとてもおいしかったです。ラムシャンクも人気。ダギンキチャップ(牛肉の醤油煮込み)は甘辛くて馴染みのある味。

Customer appreciation Night @ The View Bar, St.Giles Southkey, JB
I had invitation for this event from St. Giles Southkey.
Since its opening, this hotel has been extremely packed, even on weekdays, due to the convenience of being connected to a shopping mall.
In response to the hotel's success, there are frequent media events and other events that give the feeling that the entire team is working together to make it even more exciting, and the teamwork and hospitality are wonderful.
The event included a greeting from General Manager TeeKay, a live band, food, a quiz and a lucky draw.
It was raining heavily when the event started, but even with overcast skies the view from this view bar was dramatic.

Fun night! The venue was too spooky. The sweets were so cute and full of good idea !

There are many innovations such as mocktails in IV bags and marshmallow pies that look like tooth shapes.
The staff also dressed up as zombies and other scary effects.
There were hotel-related quizzes, costume contests, lucky draws, and a live band performance to liven up the event.

会場はすごく怖い飾り付けが多数。お菓子は可愛くてナイスアイデアに溢れていました。

At the DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru, I attended the unveiling of the Grand Ballroom on the 11th floor.
The renovations have significantly enhanced the facilities, and have underscored DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru's commitment to ESG initiatives: environmental-social-governance (ESG ) and innovation initiatives.
The event was a great opportunity to experience how the ballroom, meeting rooms, and facilities can be used in a wide variety of ways to meet the needs of clients.
A variety of meticulously designed event spaces that can accommodate a variety of gatherings and events. Among them is the Grand Ballroom, which boasts an area of 565 square meters and can accommodate up to 650 people.
The hotel is at the forefront of sustainable efforts to combine health and sustainability and provide environmentally balanced meals that are both healthy and sustainable, using fresh lettuce with no pesticides and zero waste, and offering complete meals with local seasonings.
We were treated to dishes by the new executive chef, award-winning chef Mohammad Hashrul Bin Sewan, and found the flavors to be very good, especially "The Nourishment Bowls," inspired by poke bowls, with excellent textures and combinations of ingredients.
A new era of business and part of the memory-making experience, the Ballroom at the DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru is a place of elegance and sustainability.

今回のリニューアルでは、施設の大幅な強化が行われ、ダブルツリーbyヒルトン・ジョホールバルのESG イニシアチブ : 環境(environmental) • 社会(social) • ガバナンス(governance)（ESG) とイノベーションへの取り組みが明確になりました。
ボールルームやミーティングルームやファシリティが、お客の目的に合わせて多種多様な使い方があるというのが経験できるイベントでした。
さまざまな集まりや行事に対応できる、綿密に設計された多彩なイベントスペース。なかでも、565平方メートルの広さを誇るグランドボールルームは、最大650名様まで収容可能とのこと。
無農薬で廃棄物ゼロの新鮮なレタスを使用し、地元産の味付けで完全な食事を提供するなど、健康とサステイナビリティを両立させ、環境に配慮したバランスの取れた食事の提供は、持続可能な取り組みの最前線を走っています。
新総料理長に就任した、受賞歴のあるシェフ、モハマド・ハシュルル・ビン・セワンの料理をいただきましたが、味付けがとても良く、とくにポケボウルから着想を得た「The Nourishment Bowls」は食感や食材の組み合わせが秀逸でした。
