With so many similar kopitiams popping up these days, we tend to shy away from restaurants with ordinary flavors and no specialties.
Today, however, I found out why so many customers come to Hock Kee Kopitiam every day.
The menu is delicious and unique, and I especially like the quality of the food.
I especially liked the quality chicken rice, the nasi lemak banjil, which is a rarity at Kopitiam, the golden pumpkin kaya butter toast, which is a good bread itself, and the charcoal polo bun with coffee butter, which you won't find at other kopitiam. And the very refreshing Lemongrass Lemon Tea.
With so many choices on the menu, you are sure to find your favorite!

最近あまりにも多くの似たようなコピティアムができているので、普通の味、特色のない店からは足が遠のきますよね。
ですが今日は、Hock Kee Kopitiamに連日多くのお客が来ている訳がわかりました。
きちんとおいしく、工夫された他店にはないメニューがあるのが素敵。
特に私が気に入ったのは、クオリティの高いチキンライス、コピティアムでは珍しいメニューの ナシレマバンジル、パン自体もしっかり美味しいゴールデンパンプキンカヤバタートースト、他店で見かけないコーヒーバターを挟んだチャコールポロバン。そしてとても爽やかな、レモングラスレモンティー。
数多くのメニューがあるので、いろいろ試してお気に入りを発掘してください！
JBには3店舗あり、近日シティスクエアにもオープン予定。KLにはバンサーサウスに1店舗あります。

New Open! Congratulations Grand Opening!
My favorite, the team from FirePitz, an open-flame grill restaurant, is opening a new restaurant in a house in Taman Melody. It is a café-style restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast and lunch in a more casual atmosphere while keeping the open-flame grill concept. I love the unique and special menu items, many of which are only available here.
The signature "Homemade Beef Bacon & Eggs" is a homemade rich brioche topped with fluffy scrambled eggs, spinach, and savory beef, and is delicious with a perfectly balanced truffle sauce. The Tempeh and Wild Mushroom Bagel is a vegetarian burger that is very satisfying. The Signature Waffle & Chicken Tikka is an authentic buttery Belgian waffle with tender and flavorful chicken tikka. There are a variety of menu items that you will want to try.
Go to the back of the restaurant and you will find a space overlooking the garden, which you would never guess from the entrance.

大好きな、直火焼きレストランFirePitzのチームが、タマンメロディーの一軒家で新しいお店をオープン。直火焼きのコンセプトはそのままに、もっとカジュアルに朝食やランチを楽しめるカフェスタイルのお店。ユニークでスペシャルなメニューの数々で、ここでしかいただけないメニューも多く、私はとても好きです。
シグネイチャーの「ホームメイドビーフベーコン&エッグ」は、自家製のリッチなブリオッシュにふんわりしたスクランブルエッグ、ほうれん草と香ばしい牛肉が載り、トリュフの絶妙なバランスのソースと合ってとてもおいしい。「テンペとワイルドマッシュルームベーグル」は食べ応え抜群のベジタリアンバーガー。「シグネイチャーワッフル&チキンティッカ」は、本格的なバターたっぷりのベルギーワッフルに柔らかく風味豊かなチキンティッカを合わせた一品。試してみたくなるメニューがいろいろ。
店の裏手に行くとガーデンを見渡すスペースで、入り口からは想像できない広さです。

Holiday season coming!
This year's Christmas buffet at the Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel is even more spectacular.
The all-you-can-eat snow crab, slipper lobster, and raw oysters for less than RM200 is quite reasonable. The snow crab was also well stuffed.
There are many glamorous menu items such as beef Wellington, whole roasted salmon, lamb, roast chicken, macaron tower, etc.
What I liked was the attention paid to even the most humble menu items. It is wonderful that there are so many varieties of each about pasta, Mexican nachos dips, sauces for meats, butter cakes, and so on.
In the dessert corner, you can feel the pastry staff's desire to please their customers and their "fun at work" atmosphere, which makes it enjoyable as well.
Reservations are essential as it is always crowded.

ルネッサンスジョホールバルホテルの今年のクリスマスビュッフェはまた一段と豪華。
ズワイガニ、スリッパロブスター、生牡蠣が食べ放題でRM200未満というのはかなりリーズナブル。ズワイガニもしっかり身が詰まっていました。
ビーフウェリントンやサーモン丸焼き、ラムやローストチキン、マカロンタワーなどの華やかなメニューもたくさんありますが、私が良いなと思ったのは、地味なメニューにも心配りされているところ。パスタやメキシカンナチョスのディップ、お肉にかけるソース類、バターケーキなどについて、それぞれの種類がたくさんあるのが素晴らしい。
デザートコーナーではパティシエスタッフの「お客に喜んで欲しい」という気持ちと「仕事に楽しく取り組んでいる」雰囲気を感じて、こちらも楽しい気分になります。
常に混むので予約必須。

Not only does this place serve great coffee, but the food and desserts are more than just café quality.
Bagels and pizzas are made from dough, and all sauces are homemade. The food is fresh and delicious.
In addition to the creative bread-based assortment, the menu has been expanded to include rice, pasta, five types of chicken wings, and three types of pizza on weekends. There is also a standard menu, which is good for kids and families.
I liked the garlic parmesan chicken wings and the Johor laksa with octopus.

The bright and gently atmosphere of the cafe is comfortable.
There are many kinds of cakes, tarts, and breads. The mango shortcake was delicious, with plenty of mango, light chiffon sponge, and moderate sweet cream.

マンゴーショートケーキはたっぷりのマンゴーと軽いシフォンのスポンジ、甘さ控えめなクリームで、とてもおいしかったです。
メニューはチキンチョップやパスタなどの定番メニュー。
朝食、ランチ、アフタヌーンティーにゆっくちおしゃべりするのに良い場所です。

Bistro Cafe located along the harbor in Seninong Cove. The lineup ranges from western cuisine to local menu items. Like a family restaurant, it has everything, so whether it is for a light lunch, a family dinner, or just a light drink with a view, this restaurant can be enjoyed by everyone from children to the elderly, depending on your needs.
The most popular dish is the signature mutton briyani. The local menu here is especially good, but I prefer the homemade pesto spaghetti here.

It is a sensation that reorganizes the brain. RXP. KL, a digital art exhibition in REXKL in Chinatown. The program consists of watching three films in one hour, and you can enter at any time you like.
A world enveloped by sound and images, it is truly Other World. It has become one of the most recommended places in Kuala Lumpur.
REXKL is a community and cultural hub housed in the historic site of one of Kuala Lumpur's first theaters, established in 1947, and after two fires, closures, and renovations, it has been transformed into what it is today.

I think it's the hottest cafe in JB right now.
Located in a factory area near Austin, the restaurant is very spacious, beautiful and elegant.
There are more buildings and corridors built inside the building, so you can spend your time in a relaxing and elegant way.
The café-like menu is a fusion of Western-leaning dishes. Breakfast menu, pasta, main dishes, snacks, etc., and drinks are available.
Perfect place for a chat with friends or a business meeting.

カフェ的なメニューは、ウェスタン寄りのヒュージョン。ブレックファストメニュー、パスタ、メイン、スナックなどとドリンクがあり、友人とのおしゃべりやビジネスミーティングなどにぴったり。

New Open ! The first "Bacha Coffee” in Malaysia, a cafe specializing in 100% Arabica coffee, founded in 1910 in Makelash, Morocco."
You can taste Arabica coffee from over 35 countries in a beautiful space.
After World War II, the Dar el Bacha Palace was closed for more than 60 years, but reopened as a museum in 2017. Located in its courtyard, Bacha Coffee has evolved and now has outlets in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
The first Malaysian store, in KLCC, opens at 8 am. In addition to coffee, there are many menu items including pastries, egg dishes, main dishes, and pasta. Wine was also available.
Sandwiches and main dishes were available from 2:00 PM.
We went at 8:10 AM on a Sunday morning and waited in line for about 20 minutes.
I ordered the signature "1910 Coffee," which was aromatic and complex and new to me. The pot can be shared between two people and is served with vanilla bean cream.
The millefeuille was also very tasty and not too sweet. Very nice cafe.

マレーシア1号店がニューオープン！1910年モロッコのマケラシュで創業のアラビカ種100%を専門に扱うカフェ「バシャコーヒー。」
美しい空間で、35カ国以上のアラビカコーヒーを味わえます。
第二次世界大戦後、ダール・エル・バシャ宮殿は60年以上もの間閉鎖されていましたが、2017年に博物館としてリニューアルオープン。その中庭にあるバシャコーヒーは発展し、現在はアジアと中東、ヨーロッパに店舗があります。
マレーシア1号店のKLCC店は朝8時オープン。コーヒーの他、ペストリー、卵料理、メインディッシュ、パスタなどたくさんのメニューがあります。ワインもありました。
サンドウィッチやメインディッシュは午後2時からの提供とのこと。
日曜の朝8:10に行って、20分ほど並びました。
オーダーしたシグネイチャーの”1910コーヒー”は香り高く複雑な味わいで初めての味でした。ポットを2人でシェアでき、バニラビーンズの入ったクリームが添えられます。
ミルフィーユも甘さ控えめてとても美味しかったです。とても素敵なカフェ。

There are many antique decoration. Nostalgic feeling.
Bagel Sandwich is big volume. Taste is delicious. Nice atmosphere.

ライブストールは毎週内容が変わるそうで、今回はヨントウフと3種のポピアがありました。
アイスクリームはバスキンロビンス(サーティーワンアイスクリーム)が食べ放題。テタリもおいしいです。

Fried Rice speciality restaurant at Eco Botanic.
The casual and unique design of the restaurant's storefront makes you wonder if it is a fast food kind of place, but it is not. You can enjoy authentic and tasty fried rice that is properly homemade.
From orthodox Chinese to Malaysian flavors and fusions such as truffle flavor, you can enjoy hundreds of different tastes with basic seasonings and toppings.
Fried rice and noodles start at RM7.9. You can add prawns, tobiko, or any other toppings you like.
There are also a variety of side dishes such as fried chicken and dumplings. The packaging is cute too. Orders for Grab delivery are also coming in incessantly.

カジュアルでユニークなデザインの店構えなので、ファーストフードのような感じなのかと思ったら、そうではなく。きちんと手作りの本格的でおいしい炒飯をいただけます。
正統派中華からマレーシアの味、トリュフ味などのヒュージョンもあり、基本の味付けとトッピングで何百通りもの好みの味が楽しめます。
炒飯も麺もRM7.9から。海老やとびっこを入れたり、トッピングをプラスしたり、自由自在。
サイドメニューも唐揚げや餃子など、充実しています。パッケージもキュート。グラブデリバリーのオーダーもひっきりなしに来ています。

Kopitiam is now open on the second floor of KSL with special desserts.
The food is all homemade, using the recipes of the owner's mother, who is a Johorian. In particular, I found the char kway teow at Wok Hey to be very tasty, flavorful and savory.
The curry mee and curry chicken are also rich. In the morning, there is a breakfast set starting at RM5.9.
And even more noteworthy are the desserts. They are made by a professional pastry chef. The Baked Cheese Lava Cake with cheese cream that flows out of the warm and fluffy chiffon cake comes in two varieties: plain and ondeonde. The rich egg tart comes in 4 varieties: plain, taro, durian, and truffled.
The Steamed Milk Egg Pudding is like a panna cotta with its rich milk flavor. It goes well with mixed nuts.
The chendol and iced kachang are also delicious and not too sweet.
The large storefront in front of Daiso is packed on weekends.

ジョホーリアンのオーナーのお母さんのレシピで作った料理は、全て手作り。特に、チャークイティアオはWok Hey で、風味豊かで香ばしくとてもおいしいと思いました。

そしてさらに特筆すべきなのはデザート。プロのパティシエが作っています。暖かくふわふわのシフォンケーキの中から流れ出るチーズクリームのベイクドチーズラヴァケーキはプレーンとオンデオンデの2種。濃厚なエッグタルトはプレーン、タロ芋、ドリアン、トリュフ入りの4種あります。
スチームドミルクエッグプディングは、濃厚なミルク味がパンナコッタのよう。ミックスナッツとよく合います。
チェンドルやアイスカチャンも甘さ控えめでおいしい。
食事からデザートまでいろいろ試して欲しいお店。Daiso前にある広い店舗は、週末は超満員です。
