Secret Garden Pool Cocktail @ Thistle Johor Bahru, JB
I attended the event of “Secret Garden Wedding Showcase and Pool Cocktail”.
Pool cocktail was held at Oasis Restaurant. Finger foods were tasty. I like Beetroot Gaspacho( Spanish cold soup) in tubes. Fashionable!
The wedding decoration by “ WhiteBox Bridal” was very romantic, it was perfect matching with Thistle Hotel’s beautiful pool side lighting.
Unfortunately, the weather on this day was rainy, but it was still lovely enough.

オアシスレストランでのプールカクテルは、フィンガーフードがいろいろあり、チューブ飲んでも入ったビーツのガスパチョがファッショナブル！
WhiteBox Bridal によるウェディングデコレーションは、Thistle Hotelの美しいプールサイドの照明にぴったりで、とてもロマンチックでした。
この日の天気はあいにくの雨でしたが、それでも十分素敵で、もう一度結婚したくなるようなパーティーでした。

When I open the hidden vending machine Door and go up the stairs, I surprised to find a large, Instagrammable space!
There are both a nice café and a Lucky Cat concept bar.
From the outside I didn't realise how big the place was!
I was invited to a private event and attended from around 10pm.
SONY cameras were lent out, cosplay models posed for photos, we had delicious food and cocktails, and finally a silent disco with headphones.
On the terrace of the restaurant, they also had cats that lived there during the lockdown and had a baby.
The homemade mooncakes and other souvenirs are very nice and looks tasty.
It was great to see some friends and I felt comfortable with the heart-warming hospitality of the owners and their staff.
The name of the place, Merah, means 'red' in Malay and I wore red clothes and shoes in Merah respect fashion.
The name of the restaurant has a meaning: Multidisciplanry, Engaging, Resourceful, Ambitious, Hearty.
The space is stylish, a bit retro, warm and can be used in many ways, so I would like to drop by again for a meal or a drink.

自動販売機の隠れドアを開けて上がると、instagramable な大きなスペース。落ち着ける雰囲気の良いカフェも、招き猫コンセプトバーもあって驚きました。外から見た限りではこんな広いお店だとは思いませんでした！
プライベートイベントに招待いただき、夜10時ごろから参加しました。
SONYのカメラが貸し出され、コスプレモデルにポーズを取ってもらって撮影したり、おいしい食事やカクテルをいただいたり、最後はヘッドフォンをつけてのサイレントディスコ。
お店のテラスでは、ロックダウン中に住み着いて子供を産んだという猫も飼っていました。
自家製の月餅などのお土産もとってもステキで美味しそう。
何人かの友人にも会えて嬉しかったし、オーナー夫妻とスタッフによるハートウォーミングなおもてなしに居心地が良かったです。
店名のMerahはマレー語で「赤」。Merahリスペクトファッションで赤い服と靴で行きました。店名には意味があって、「Multidisciplanry, Engaging, Resourceful, Ambitious, Hearty」とのこと。
おしゃれでちょっとレトロで温かみがあり、いろいろな使い方が出来そうなスペースなので、またご飯やお酒を飲みに寄りたいです。

How fun night! It was amazing event.
The theme was Hawaii, Dress code was Hawaiian or Beach wear.
I have Pineapple dress bought few years ago but not yet tried, so good timing!
After arrive the pool side restaurant, Pendas cafe of Sunway Hotel Big Box, I surprised! So cool and fun!
Restaurant was decorated so nicely, There were Mermaids in Pool, there were dance performances, Live music, entertainment MC, and delicious Foods!
And Lucky Draw’s most awards are hotel coupons! Very very glad I was lucky !

「サンウェイメディアナイト」という、メディア向けのイベントがサンウェイシティイスカンダルプテリのサンウェイホテルビックボックスにて開催。招待いただき、参加しました。
テーマがハワイで、ドレスコードがハワイアンかビーチウェア。ちょうど数年前に買ったものの着る機会がなかったパイナップル柄のドレスがあったのでグッドタイミング！
会場であるプール脇の「Pendas cafe」に到着して驚きました。
デコレーションが本格的！プールには2人の人魚が泳いでいて、ダンサーたちのダンスや生バンドの演奏や、コメディアンによる司会進行、おいしいビュッフェディナー。
ここまでこだわったパーティーはかなり久しぶりの感じ。さすがいくつものテーマパークを運営し、お客の楽しませ方を熟知するサンウェイグループ、と思いました。
豪華なラッキードローの景品は、ホテル宿泊券がたくさん。当選嬉しい！素敵なおもてなしをありがとうございます。
サンウェイグループは、2050年までに炭素排出量ゼロを達成するという誓約のもと、国際社会に参加しています。
サンウェイはこれからも、持続可能な方法でマレーシアの進化を牽引していくでしょう。

《Century China - The Beating of a Hundred Drums 世纪中华·百鼓擂鸣》
“Johor Bahru Tiong-Hua Association” 100years anniversary & “24 Drums” 34years anniversary.
I attended this ceremony event.
100 years since the Association was established in the 178-year history of the Chinese people of Johor Bahru.
The establishment of the Johor Bahru Chinese Association's magnificent building, the services provided by the Miao Yu Ping Cemetery and Chinese villas, the awarding of the Johor Temple as a National Cultural Heritage Site, the establishment of the Johor Bahru Chinese Heritage Museum and the Tan Hiok Nee Cultural Street, and many other initiatives related to Chinese education and Chinese culture, and the Johor Bahru Chinese community's unity over the years is due to the leadership of this Johor Bahru Chinese Association.
The theme of the centenary celebrations is 'Chinese Centenary, Passing on the Love of Yixing'.
Twenty-four drums were born in Johor Bahru on 12 June 1988 and have become known worldwide. This year marks its 34th year.
The event was held in a spectacular manner, with 100 drums sounding out and performing together with the Chinese martial arts.
ジョホールバル華人協会創立100周年と24太鼓の創立34周年を記念して、中国、ビジネス、太鼓の各界から100名のゲストを招いて「中国の世紀-100の太鼓」のセレモニーイベントが開催されました。
ジョホールバルの中華系の人々の178年の歴史の中で、協会が設立されて100年。
ジョホールバル華人協会の立派な建物の設立、廟玉亭墓地や中国人別荘によるサービス、ジョホール寺院の国家文化遺産の授与、ジョホールバル中国遺産博物館やTan Hiok Nee 文化街の設立など、中国教育や中国文化に関する多くの取り組み、そしてジョホールバル華人コミュニティが長年にわたっての結束は、このジョホールバル華人協会のリーダーシップによるもの。
100周年記念式典のテーマは「中国100周年記念、宜興の愛の継承」です。
二十四太鼓は1988年6月12日にジョホールバルで生まれ、世界的に知られるようになりました。今年で34年目に突入。
100台の太鼓が鳴り響き、和中武術との共演で、華やかに会が執り行われました。

L’étape is the race for amateur cyclists. 4500 cyclists joined it!
I attended special dinner event of celebration “ L’étape by Tour de France”.
Master Pastry Chef: Frederick Oger collaborated with Anantara‘s Executive Chef: Fahdurul Abdul Malek.
The 5 course dinner with Champagne Wine and Cognac pairing was so wonderful.
The desserts with their different textures, the richness of the chocolate, the acidity of the passion fruit, the bitterness of the caramel sauce, the cold ice cream and the Sarawak peppers, are a delicious combination that will make anyone swoon.
After filling our bellies and hearts, we moved to the Westin Desaru for a grand beach party.
It's great to see such a large and glamorous event being held in Desaru Coast.

自転車のアマチュアレース、レタップ・バイ・ツール・ド・フランス(L'Etape by Tour De France) がはじめてマレーシアに上陸。デサルコーストで開催され、60kmと140kmのレースに、4500人ものサイクリストが参加しました。
今回は、これをお祝いした、Anantaraでの一夜限りの特別ディナーに招待いただきました。
マスターペストリーシェフ: Frederick Oger氏とアナンタラのエグゼクティブシェフ:Fahdurul Abdul Malek氏のコラボレーションディナー。
5コースの食事に、シャンパンやワイン、コニャックとのペアリングは素晴らしいものでした。
特にデザートの、異なる食感と、チョコレートのコク、パッションフルーツの酸味、キャラメルソースのほろ苦さ、冷たいアイスとサラワクペッパーの組み合わせは、誰もが唸るおいしさ。
お腹も心も満たされたあとは、Westin Desaruに移動して、盛大なビーチパーティーに参加。
こんな大規模で華やかなイベントがデサルで開催されるのは嬉しい。

That’s why their breads are so good.
You must order Signature 5 Cheese pizza. A lot of cheese is good balance. Dough is crunchy, semolina flour is savoury.
One more “ must order” is Sourdough Foccacia. So delicious! I’m glad to buy here anytime.
Maybe it’s your first time to try Felmented drink “ Tepache”. It’s refreshing and so nice. It’s Mexican traditional healthy drink. Felmented from tropical fruits. Roots makes it from Pineapple. Try homemade Tepache too!

オープン前のプライベートイベントに参加してきました。
パン系メニューがおいしいのは、Vburgが運営するお店だから。
シグネイチャーの5種のチーズピザは必食です。バランスの良いチーズの味わい、たっぷりのチーズ。生地はサクサクで、セモリナ粉が香ばしい。
もう一つの「マスト」はサワードウのフォカッチャ。このクオリティの味をいつでも買えるのが嬉しい。
メキシコ発祥のトロピカルフルーツから作る発酵飲料 "テパチェ "をご存じでしょうか。ここでは、パイナップルから発酵させて自家製で作っています。ほのかな酸味で爽やかでおいしい。お酒を持ち込んだら、ミクソロジストがこれでカクテルを作ってくれるそうですよ。ワインの持ち込みもOKとのこと。(持ち込み料必要)。

I really like their many selection of appetisers. Seafood on ice, Lobster mini sandwiches, Crab tart, Creative sushi, Caviar etc. not only beautiful, very tasty. Their Dessert selection also wonderful.
If you order free flow of Alcohol, there are cocktail menu too.

もう、本当に素敵！毎月来てもいいくらい、大満足の内容。
エグゼクティブシェフのKeith Hooker氏による料理は、ヨーロッパ料理が中心。洗練された前菜とデザートが充実しています。
生牡蠣やズワイガニ、ロブスターなどのシーフード、キャビアやサーモン、ミニロブスターロールやカニのタルト、北海道ホタテのタルタルなど、小さくて上質な前菜、キノアや五穀米を使用した創作お寿司もとても美味しかったです。
デザートは美しいケーキがずらりと並びます。
メインディッシュはプライムローストビーフやラムラック、サーモンのパイ包み。北京ダックやタンドリーチキン、マレー料理も少しあります。
ドリンク飲み放題をつけると、スパークリングワインや数種のカクテルも。
友人たち一同も皆、また来たいというほど、充実した時間を過ごせるビュッフェです。

Jameson St. Patrick's Festival @ Mulligans Signature , Mount Austin, JB
Jameson is the most popular Irish whiskey in the world and enjoys the largest market share. It is attractive because it has few peculiarities and is easy to drink.
Jameson is distilled three times, giving it a very refined, smooth and clean taste.
The event was held to mark the Irish festival of St Patrick's Day on 17 March.
The venue was the Austin branch of Mulligan, JB's first Irish pub.
This is the place to enjoy a drink and a wide range of menu items, from Irish food to familiar Malaysian dishes.
Ginger highballs were served, with Jameson whisky mixed with ginger ale and a squeeze of lime, and there was live band music and a roulette to win a canvas bag.

会場は、JBで最初のアイリッシュパブであるMulliganのオースティン店。
ここはお酒を楽しむと同時に、アイリッシュ料理からマレーシアの馴染みのある料理まで、幅広いメニューラインナップ。
ジェムソンウィスキーをジンジャーエールで割ってライムを絞ったジンジャーハイボールが振る舞われ、バンドの生演奏やキャンバスバッグが当たるルーレットなどで盛り上がりました。

An Exclusive Gastronomy Festival

I attended a gorgeous event by Hennessy.
It’s like Chinese New Year After-Party!
This is an invitational event that starts in JB and also takes place in Penang and KL.
The first thing I receive is a heavy coin to use this event.
I enter the venue with a panel explaining Hennessy's history and its 150-year involvement in Malaysia and its work with the artist who designed the limited-edition bottle.
Hennessy landed in Malaysia in 1868, when 100 cases of cognac were brought to Penang.
And then I visit several booths where I can redeem coins for Hennessy X.O, its cocktails and canapés.
In addition, coins can be used to play slot-like games and there are booths with people who can tell my fortune.
Hennessy X.O is made from a blend of around 100 original liquor from grapes from the top four Cognac regions. It expresses a style that is rich, powerful and extremely smooth.
The Hennessy X.O on the rocks was extremely aromatic, smooth to drink and delicious. I also loved the three limited edition cocktails with Hennessy X.O.
We all took the Covid test before entering the venue. I hope there will be more of these glamorous events.

ヘネシーのゴージャスなイベントに参加。
いわば、アフターチャイニーズニューイヤーパーティー。これはJBからスタートとして、ペナンとKLでも行われる招待イベント。
最初に、この会場で使う、ずっしりと重いコインをいただきました。
ヘネシーの歴史とマレーシアでの150年もの関わりや、限定ボトルをデザインしたアーティストとの取り組みの説明パネルを見ながら会場に入ります。
ヘネシーがマレーシアに上陸したのが1868年で、この時は、100ケースのコニャックがペナンに運ばれたとか。
いくつかのブースで、コインと引き換えに、ヘネシーX.Oやそのカクテル、カナッペ類がいただけます。
さらにコインでスロットのようなゲームができたり、運勢を占ってくれる方がいるブースがあったり。(この先10年はマレーシアで稼ぐって占ってもらって嬉しかった♪)
ヘネシーXOは、コニャック地方の上位4地区のブドウによる約100種類の原酒がブレンドされて作られています。リッチでパワフル、かつ極めて滑らかなスタイルが表現されています。
ヘネシーX.Oをロックでいただくと、ものすごく香り高くて飲みやすくておいしかったです。コニャックでもこんなに飲みやすいというのはちょっと嬉しい驚き。3種の限定カクテルも大好き。
今回のイベントでは、全員コロナテストを受けてから会場に入りました。こういう華やかなイベントが増えてくるといいですね。

In the same time, The funds raised during IWDCW22 will go towards “Happy Cure” maintaining happiness among children who are battling cancer.
I attended the special IWDCW event “Maiden Voyage by Caorunn Gin 琴琴有约”.
It’s also celebrating of “Thirst Magazine” 10years anniversary! This drinks magazine’s founder Kim Choong is one of the very first person to contribute the cocktail bar scene.
The venue “Three x Co” is one of “Asia’s 50 Best Bars”.
We enjoyed 3kinds of Caorunn Gin and special cocktails with them.

ドリンクマガジン「Thirst Magazine」の10周年記念でもあるこのイベントのホストは、Thirst MagazinのファウンダーであるKim Choong 氏(マレーシアのカクテルシーンでの第一人者の1人)。
Caorunn Gin の飲み比べと、これらを使用した、この夜限りの香り高い3種のカクテルをいただきました。
カクテルウィークでは、ガンと闘う子供たちに幸せを届ける団体へのチャリティーも行っています。
