The Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, KL
No Pork No Lard
First time in a month, a beautiful lounge in the Four Seasons Hotel. I love it, it's more dignified than most lounges and more casual with fine dining-like food. The decorations are also in the Hari Raya mood. Afternoon tea also seems to have a new chocolate theme.
We visited again for a late lunch.
The blue shrimp carpaccio is served on rice crackers, which are beautiful to look at and the toppings are an excellent combination.
The brioche sandwich with oyster fritters, the clubhouse sandwich with ciabatta, again all very tasty.

1ヶ月ぶり、フォーシーズンズホテル内の美しいラウンジ。一般的なラウンジより凛としていて、ファインダイニングのようなお料理があるのにもっとカジュアルで、とても気に入っています。飾り付けもハリラヤの気分。アフタヌーンティーも新しいチョコレートテーマになったようです。
今回も遅いランチに伺いました。
ブルーシュリンプのカルパッチョは、ライスクラッカーにのせていただくのですが、見た目にも美しくてトッピングは抜群の組み合わせ。
牡蠣のフリッターのブリオッシュサンド、チャバタのクラブハウスサンド、今回もすべてとても美味しかったです。

There is no club lounge here.
We had a la carte dinner and buffet breakfast in the main dining room "Tempus Fugit".
Marriott Bonvoy members offer their children free ice cream at the "French & Co." cafe between 5 and 6 pm. I also received a voucher for two free drinks at the Chemistry bar, which I enjoyed after dinner.

レストランが5つあり、メインダイニングの“Tempus Fugit”でアラカルトディナーとビュッフェブレックファーストをいただきました。
マリオットボンヴォイメンバーにより、子供には17-18時の間にカフェ”French & Co.”でアイスクリームが無料。また、”Chemistry bar”でドリンクが2杯無料のバウチャーをもらったので、ディナーの後いただきました。
Tempus Fugit
The quality of the selection at the breakfast buffet was excellent, and although there was no special made-to-order menu, the seafood omelette with plenty of squid and shrimp was excellent with good texture. There was also char-grilled cobia (swordfish tuna), pork, Vietnamese specialty chicken rice, Korean food, and ice cream.
Breakfast price: (RM148(約¥4500)/adult RM74(約¥2250)/kids)
朝食ビュッフェは品揃えのクオリティも素晴らしく、オーダー式の特別メニューはありませんでしたが、イカや海老がふんだんに入ったシーフードオムレツは食感がよく絶品でした。炭火焼きのコビア(カジキマグロ)や豚肉、ベトナム名物のチキンライス、韓国料理、アイスクリームもありました。
For dinner, Vietnamese, Western, and Japanese dishes are on the menu, and we ordered three Vietnamese dishes (lobster and caviar spring rolls, bun cha, and braised cobia (swordfish tuna) with fresh pepper，all of which were excellent. The complimentary bread and butter are also of good quality.
ディナーはベトナム料理、西洋料理、日本料理がメニューにあり、ベトナム料理を3品(ロブスターとキャビアの生春巻き、ブンチャー、コビア(カジキマグロ)の煮物生胡椒添え)オーダーしましたが、どれも素晴らしく美味しかったです。無料のパンもバターも素晴らしいクオリティ。
Chemistry bar
The Chemistry Bar has a trendy atmosphere with an interior themed on the Faculty of Science. Cocktails and other drinks are available in the light of day while enjoying the view of the ocean, and at night in a moody atmosphere. There was also live music at night. Mixology classes and other classes are held regularly.
ケミストリーバーは、科学学部がテーマのインテリアで、おしゃれな雰囲気。明るいうちは海を眺めながら、夜はムーディーにカクテルなどをいただけます。夜は生演奏もありました。定期的にミクソロジークラスなども開催しています。

The cafe sold sandwiches, cookies, and afternoon tea.
このカフェでは、サンドウィッチやクッキー、アフタヌーンティーなどを販売していました。

Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort @ Bai Dai area, Phu Quoc, Vietnam
One hour north of Phu Quoc airport. The resort is located along the beach and next to Vin Wonders amusement park.
Eight-story building with rooms on all four sides surrounding the reception lobby. Large garden with restaurant and pool. No club lounge.
We stayed 2 nights in a senior suite with amusement park view. When you enter the room, the smell of lemongrass fills the air and you feel good. The classic decor is relaxing.
The oldness of the entire building and the old refrigerator is a concern. Also, many of the restaurant staff did not speak English when we asked about the food.
The quality and selection of breakfast is very good, with a nice Vietnamese lineup of fruit juices and jams. There is a free bus that goes around the Venice style town and theme parks every 30 minutes.

フーコックの空港から北に1時間。ビーチ沿いで遊園地のVin Wonders横のリゾート。
レセプションロビーを囲むように四方に部屋がある8階建て。広い庭にレストランとプールがあります。クラブラウンジはありません。
遊園地ビューのシニアスイートルームに2泊しました。部屋を入るとレモングラスの香りが満ちていていい気分。クラシックな内装は落ち着きます。
建物全体の古さ、冷蔵庫の古さなどは気になるところ。また、レストランのスタッフに料理について聞いても、英語が通じない人も多かったです。
朝食のクオリティと品揃えはとても良く、フルーツジュースやジャムがベトナムらしいラインナップで素敵。ベニス風の街やテーマパークを巡回する無料バスも30分ごとに出ていて便利。

The night market in the center of Phu Quoc.
Stores open from around 6:00 p.m. and become lively after 7:00 p.m.
When I went there around 4:00 p.m., there were not many stores open, so I went again after 6:00 p.m. after killing some time at a nearby cafe.
There are many seafood stalls, pearl shops, and souvenir shops, but some seafood is overpriced, so it is better to go into a clear-price store or order while checking the price properly.
We ordered grilled Uni, grilled oysters, octopus, squid, corn pancake, etc. The total cost was about RM80 (about 2,400 yen).

フーコック中心地のナイトマーケット。
夜6時くらいから店が開き、7時以降に活気が出ます。
4時ごろ行くと、開いてる店が少なかったので、近くのカフェで時間を潰してから6時過ぎに再度行きました。
たくさんのシーフード屋台、真珠屋さん、お土産屋さんがありますが、価格が高いシーフードもあるので、明朗会計のお店に入ったり、きちんと値段を確認しながらオーダーしたほうがよいです。
焼きウニ、焼き牡蠣、タコ、イカ、コーンお好み焼きなどをオーダーして、全部でRM80(約2400円)くらいでした。
楽しい雰囲気！

We are in Amalfi, Italy.
No, this is Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam.
While the Venice township we visited the other day was north of Phu Quoc, this one is run by a different company and is located south of Phu Quoc.
Here is the world's longest cable car station to Hon Thom Island.
The Amalfi-like town has just opened and is deserted with few tenants, but the sunset and light show over the kissing bridge by renowned Italian architect Marco Casanonti seems to be popular.
We had lunch at Cafe Restaurant RuNam in this sunset town.
The view from the windows is lovely, like Amalfi. Food and drinks are on the higher end of the price range, but we enjoyed it very much.

イタリアのアマルフィに来ました。いえいえ、ここはベトナムのフーコック島。
先日のベニスの街並みは、フーコックの北の方でしたが、こちらは別の会社が運営している街で、フーコックの南の方にあります。
ここにホントム島行きの世界一長いケーブルカー乗り場があります。
アマルフィのような街並みはオープンしたばかりで、入っているテナントは少なく、閑散としていますが、イタリアの著名な建築家 Marco Casanonti氏によるキスブリッジ越しにみる夕陽や光のショーが人気のようです。
このサンセットタウンにあるカフェレストランRuNamでランチをしました。
窓からの景色がまるでアマルフィのようで素敵。食事もドリンクも高めの価格帯ですが、とても楽しめました。

No Pork, No Lard
Phu Quoc is famous for its "Bun Quay", a light broth with rice flour noodles, fish or shrimp dumpling, and local squid. And is served with MSG, lime, and chili sauce that you mix yourself.
This is the only noodle dish served at the restaurant. You can choose whether you want beef or seafood as a topping, and get a drink of your choice.
The total cost for two people was about RM33.
The soup is quite light and the sauce is exquisite and very tasty. The rough texture of the shrimp and the fresh squid make this a noodle dish you will want to repeat.
There are five stores in Phu Quoc.

フーコックの名物料理 「ブンクウェイ」。あっさりしたスープに米粉の麺、魚や海老のつみれと、地元産のイカが入ったスープヌードル。MSGとライムとチリを自分で調合してタレを作り、加えていただきます。
お店で出すメニューはこの麺のみ。トッピングに牛肉入りか魚介のみか選び、好きなドリンクを取るスタイル。
2人分で合計約1000円くらいでした。
かなりあっさりしているスープにタレを加えると、絶妙でとてもおいしい。ツミレが荒めで海老の食感がしっかりあり、イカも新鮮でリピートしたくなる麺料理です。
フーコック内に5店舗もあります。

This year, over the past two months since January 16, I have enjoyed 17 hotel Ramadan buffets, including previews. Perhaps this completes my Ramadan review for this year.
Wagyu beef dishes, which were a common highlight last year, are rarely seen this year, and shawarma, which was a trend last year, is now a staple, along with Kambing Gorek (whole roasted lamb); durian goreng is common and very popular in JB, but not so common in KL.
I think the trending dishes this year are tempoyak (fermented durian) dish and sambal petai as signature dishes at many hotels.
I think it's good to see a return to local, with many hotels digging deep to serve great local food, and a growing trend to focus on local ingredients.
Prices tend to get higher and higher each year, so hotels that use a lot of luxurious and high quality ingredients but offer a reasonable price are still likely to be more satisfying and attract people's attention. A hotel's Ramadan buffet where the chef's taste, skill and teamwork are evident. I look forward to experiencing the unique features of that hotel.
今年は、1月16日からこの2ヶ月間で、プレビューも含めると、17のホテルのラマダンビュッフェを楽しみました。たぶん私の今年のラマダンレビューはこれで完了したと思う。
去年、ハイライトとしてよく見かけた和牛料理は今年はほとんど見かけなくなり、去年のトレンドだったシャワルマはカンビンゴレック(ラムの丸焼き)と並ぶほど、今ではすっかり定番になりました。JBではドリアンゴレンをよく見かけるし大人気だけど、KLではあまり見かけない。
今年のトレンド料理としては、テンポヤック(ドリアンを発酵させた料理)や、サンバルペタイがシグネイチャーとして多くのホテルで出ていたと思います。
ローカル回帰で、ローカルの素晴らしい料理を深掘りして出すホテルも多く、食材も地元産にこだわる傾向が出てきたのは良いことだと思います。
価格は年々高くなってきている傾向にあるので、豪華な食材や質の高い食材を多く使っていても割安な価格設定をしているホテルは、やはり満足度が高く人々の注目も集めやすいです。シェフのセンスや技やチームワークが顕著に出るホテルのラマダンビュッフェ。そのホテルならではの特色を感じられることを楽しみにしています。

Dinner buffet at Hotel Stripes during Ramadan season.
Perfect for those who want to enjoy delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere, the buffet consists of 7 different BBQ dishes as the main course, appetizers, side dishes, and desserts, which can be assembled and enjoyed like a course meal. During this season, you can also enjoy traditional Malaysian dishes such as satay and lemang.
The signature beef ribs were tender and exquisite with a tangy mild perchik sauce. The dessert croffle at the end of the meal is decorated with your choice of sauce or fruit. It was a very nice dinner in a beautiful setting, relaxing and reasonably priced.
After dinner, we moved upstairs to the poolside bar for cocktails and mocktails with a view of the KL Tower, and it was definitely a perfect evening.

おいしいものを落ち着いていただきたい人にぴったり。7種のBBQをメインとし、前菜とサイドディッシュ、デザートがあり、コース料理のように組み立てて楽しめるビュッフェ。この時期はサテーやルマンなどのマレーシアの伝統料理も楽しめます。
シグネイチャーのビーフリブは、柔らかくてピリ辛マイルドなペルチックソースが絶妙で、とても美味しかったです。締めのデザートのクロッフルにはお好みのソースやフルーツを飾って。美しい空間でゆったりと食事が楽しめて、手頃な価格でとても良いディナーでした。
食事の後は上階のプールサイドのバーに移動して、KLタワーを眺めながらカクテルやモクテルをいただいたら、完璧な夜になること間違いなし。

ノンムスリムのお客様には、"ワイン＆ビール飲み放題パッケージ RM80/pax "があります。ラマダン期間中にビュッフェとともにお酒をいただける場はほぼないので、これは嬉しい。それにとてもお得。

Cruising offers a wide variety of events, including nightly dance and song shows in the theater, live bands in the many bars, crew dances, wine seminars, cooking shows, and quiz competitions, so depending on what interests you, your schedule can be as busy or as relaxing as you want it to be.
I always try to catch a show at the theater, and the Costa Serena show was truly amazing.
The stage was state-of-the-art, with a staircase that extends up, the images projected on the screen in the background were elaborate, the storyline and arrangements of the show were creative, and most importantly, the quality of the singers, dancers, and acrobatic show performers were very high.
I think that besides the comfort of the facilities, the quality of the food and the entertainment account to a large extent for judging whether a cruise trip is enjoyable or not, and this time they were all satisfactory, making it a wonderful trip.
In the past, I have often gone on European cruise trips, where there is a formal dress code, which I think is also an extraordinary experience and a wonderful point unique to ship travel, but this Costa Serena Asia cruise has no dress code.
I thought this cruise to Asia on Costa Serena has no dress code, making it ideal for families and others who are comfortable with a casual, easy-going atmosphere.
The date of the next Costa Serena cruise to/from Malaysia has not yet been set, but it will be confirmed around April whether it will take place in December or not.

パート4、コスタセレナのエンターテイメントについて & まとめ
クルージングでは、劇場で毎晩ダンスや歌のショーがあったり、たくさんのバーでの生バンド、クルーによるダンスやワインセミナーやクッキングショー、クイズ大会など、さまざまなイベントが催されるので、興味のあるものの選択次第で忙しいスケジュールにもゆったりと過ごすこともできます。
私は、劇場でのショーは欠かさず観るようにしているのですが、コスタセレナのショーは本当に素晴らしかった。
舞台は階段がせり出たりする最新型で、背景のスクリーンに投影される画像も凝ってたし、ストーリー性やショーのアレンジも工夫されていて、何よりもシンガーやダンサーやアクロバティックショーの演者のクオリティが高かったので、とても楽しめました。
そのクルーズ旅行が楽しいかどうかの判断は、設備の快適さの他に、食事の充実度とエンターテイメントの充実度がかなり大きく占めると思うのですが、今回はそれらは全て満足のいくもので、素晴らしい旅になりました。
これまでは、ヨーロッパクルーズ旅行に行くことが多く、ドレスコードにフォーマルがあったりして、それもまた非日常の体験で船旅ならではの素敵な点だと思うのですが、このコスタセレナのアジアクルーズは、ドレスコードがありません。
なので、カジュアルで気軽な感じが心地よいファミリーなどには、最適だと思いました。
次回のマレーシア発着のコスタセレナのクルージングの日程は、まだ決まっていないようですが、12月に実施されるかどうかは4月ごろに確定するそうです。

In cruising, all meals are basically included in the price, and you can have as many course meals or buffets as you like, with a choice of everything. The daily changing menu, which is unique to that particular shipping company and unique to the route, is one of the joys of cruising. Costa Serena is an Italian ship, so there were focaccia and pasta dishes every day, which were very authentic taste and texture in Italy, and there were also dishes such as nasi lemak, sambal, satay, and rendang, which are unique to the cruise from Malaysia and are slightly different from those served in Malaysia, but they were also enjoyable. I was very satisfied with the meals and the taste.
I really recommend cruise trips for parents with children, as dining on a cruise is a good opportunity to teach table manners to children.
The Costa Serena also contains other restaurants that offer gastronomy for a fee.

クルージングでは、基本的に全ての食事代が含まれていて、全てを選べるコース料理やビュッフェを好きなだけいただける。その船会社ならでは、航路ならではの毎日変わるメニューはクルージングの楽しみのうちの一つ。コスタセレナはイタリアの船なので、毎日フォッカッチャやパスタ料理があり、それらはイタリアで食べる味や食感と同じだったし、マレーシア発着ならではの、ナシレマやサンバルやサテーやレンダンなどの料理もあり、それらはマレーシアでいただくのとは少し違うけれど、それもまた楽しい。カジュアルなクルーズ料金の中で、最大限に工夫していて、食事内容と味にはとても満足しました。
子供を持つ親は、クルーズでの食事は子供にテーブルマナーを教える良い機会にもなるので、クルーズ旅行は本当におすすめ。
コスタセレナには、他にも有料で美食がいただけるレストランが入っています。
